An interactive retelling of Shakespeare's Hamlet comes to Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater in Gravedigger's Tale, October 19-28. Performances are 7:30 pm Friday & Saturday, and 2 pm Sunday.

Following the sold-out Off-Broadway engagement of Be More Chill and the release of "Two-Player Game" as an album on Ghostlight Records, award-winning composer Joe Iconis and Drama Desk-nominated actor George Salazar will bring their show Two-Player Gameto Feinstein's at the Nikko for two performances only-Friday, October 19 at 8 p.m.and Saturday, October 20 at 8 p.m.!

Buran Theatre's inaugural CartHorse Fellow Cara Scarmack will see her play some higher glimmer in the landscape of flat premiere as a culmination of the fellowship. Under the direction of Sarah Hughes, the immersive and genre-defying work-straddling theatre, dance and music-will see a three-week run at The Collapsable Hole in the West Village from October 20-November 3.

La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for Hundred Days, book by The Bengsons and Sarah Gancher, music and lyrics by The Bengsons, directed by Anne Kauffman, with movement direction by Sonya Tayeh. Nominated for a 2018 Lucille Lortel Award, Hundred Days runs in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Forum September 22 - October 21.

George Street Playhouse's Educational Touring Theatre, courtesy of support from The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey and RWJBarnabas Health, will premiere a new musical about the opioid crisis and its impact on teens and families. This original musical was developed in response to the devastating impact prescription opioid misuse, heroin, and fentanyl have had on communities throughout New Jersey. Anytown will premiere on September 25, 2018 at George Street Playhouse as part of a special Spotlight Conference on Opioid Abuse.  The Spotlight Conference will feature a keynote address from New Jersey State Attorney General Gurbir Grewal along with workshops for educators, school administrators, and public health professionals conducted by experts in the field from RWJBarnabas Health's Institute for Prevention and Recovery.  

The Amoralists (James Kautz, Artistic Director; Lico Whitfield, Producing Director) proudly present STAINED, written by Amoralists 2018/2019 'WRIGHT CLUB author Charly Evon Simpson, and directed by Kate Moore Heaney. STAINED is PLAY 2 of RICOCHET: An Amoralists Anthology about Surviving an American Epidemic.

TOGETHER WE ARE MAKING A POEM IN HONOR OF LIFE by Dean Poynor (MFA Carnegie Mellon) will be produced in NYC in October as part of FringeNYC with performances 10/14-10/28. The immersive play follows two parents, Rebecca and Brian, as they navigate a series of support group meetings following the loss of their child in a school shooting.

Artistic Director Mark Cuddy and Executive Director Christopher Mannelli have announced that Pirronne Yousefzadeh will be joining Geva Theatre Center in the newly-created position of Director of Engagement / Associate Artistic Director. She will be a member of the senior leadership team and will be responsible for planning, leading and growing the organization's community engagement efforts. She will also be a key member of the artistic staff, participating in season planning and directing productions in both the Wilson and Fielding Stages. Ms. Yousefzadeh will begin her new position in September, and relocate to Rochester in the spring of 2019. Geva's new Engagement Department is supported in part by a grant from the Allen and Joyce Boucher fund of the Rochester Area Community Foundation.

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, presents the World Premiere of Scientific Method by Jenny Connell Davis, directed by Devon de Mayo, and featuring RTE Member Ashley Neal, with Glenn Obrero, Josh Odor, Courtney Williams and Carmen Roman. Scientific Method runs October 19 - December 2, 2018, at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago.  The press opening is Tuesday October 30, 2018 at 7:00pm.

Through singular and irreverent stylistic approaches, Kate Tarker's Thunderbodies,directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz (October 16-November 18, 2018), and Christopher Chen's Passage, directed by Saheem Ali (April 23-May 26, 2019),interrogate the staggering ramifications of U.S and global imperialism.
