Casa Mañana Theatre presents A Year with Frog and Toad as the opening production of their 2016 - 2017 Children's Theatre season. Tickets are on sale now.

The New Victory Theater, a leading presenter of Theater for Young Audiences, announces the 2016-17 New Victory LabWorks Artists. This year's roster will include projects from a variety of art forms--theater, musical theater, aerial acrobatics, physical theater, magic, music and Vietnamese water puppetry--and explore an extensive range of topics, from one of Iran's most beloved folk tales to the experience of American trans youth.

The Bay Area Children's Theatre (BACT) opens a special limited engagement of the whimsical musical, A Year With Frog and Toad, Saturday, September 3, at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre (Peet's Theatre), 2025 Addison Street, Berkeley, CA 94703. The show plays at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. weekends throughSeptember 25.

Back by popular demand, Christian Youth Theater - North Idaho's (CYT-North Idaho) will perform A Year With Frog and Toad*, at the Coeur d'Alene Library Community Room, 702 E Front Ave, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814 at 3 p.m.  The event is free; donations will be accepted.

Shows are opening (Carolyn German unveils her latest, Go From Here, and Nashville Ballet revives Carmina Burana, both this weekend), shows are closing (your last chance to catch The Taffetas at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre before they go the way of The Plaids is this weekend) and The Miss Firecracker Contest is back onstage at Donelson's Larry Keeton Theatre for the second of three weekends. Obviously, the 2016 theater season continues to reveal itself at a breakneck pace, giving audiences a veritable buffet of offerings from which to choose.
