GIRL, superstar Maren Morris' new album, has shattered the record for thelargest ever debut streaming week for a country album by a woman, with 23.96 million streams in its first week. The album debuts this week at #4 on theBillboard 200, #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and continues to receive rave reviews.  

 The iconic punk rock band, X, have announced additional dates added to their spring/summer tour plans, they will join SQUEEZE for a September tour beginning in Colorado.  More dates for the tour will be announced shortly.

Avant Bard presents the acclaimed dark comedy TOPDOG/UNDERDOG by Suzan-Lori Parks, starring Louis E. Davis and Jeremy Keith Hunterand directed by DeMone Seraphin. The pl­ay-a tensely funny and dead serious tragicomedy about two African American brothers grappling for destiny-won Parks the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for drama, and the New York Times named it the best American play of the last 25 years.

Legendary voice actor Rob Paulsen, who has delighted generations of animation fanatics with his signature roles in "Pinky and the Brain," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," and other film and television projects, will be joined by "Animaniacs" composer Randy Rogel in "Animaniacs in Concert!" at the Copernicus Center in Chicago, Illinois on Thursday, March 21st at 8:00 PM and is open to all ages.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today that Chad Hurley and Steven Shih Chen will receive the Emmy® Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 70th Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards taking place at the Wynn Encore Resort & Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, April 7th, 2019 in cooperation with NAB Show.

Avant Bard has announced that Khalil Kain has had to withdraw from the cast of TOPDOG/UNDERDOG due to unforeseen personal circumstances. But Avant Bard is happy to announce that Jeremy Keith Hunter has joined the production. Jeremy will play opposite Louis E. Davis in the Pulitzer Prize-winning dark comedy by Suzan-Lori Parks about two African American brothers grappling for destiny. The production runs from March 14 to April 14, 2019, at Gunston Arts Center Theatre Two in Arlington.

This April, Opera Memphis' seventh annual Midtown Opera Festival will be anchored by premiere performances of The Falling and the Rising, a new American opera written by Memphis playwright Jerre Dye and composed by Opera Memphis favorite Zach Redler.

A collective of promising young artists will present Paul Downs Colaizzo's Really Really, a deep examination of the consequences of an average night out gone wrong. Co-directed by NYU graduates Reilly Johnson and Meghan Mulcahy, the show will play at Gibney Studio Y in Tribeca from March 6th through March 9th. In an announcement during the Finals for RFD-TV's The American, The Cowboy Channel, announced a partnership with Cheyenne Frontier Days to broadcast live all nine days of rodeo action and feature other Western lifestyle activities from their "World's Largest Outdoor Rodeo & Western Celebration." The event and live coverage takes place July 19-28, 2019, from Cheyenne, Wyo. Broadcasting the event will help fill the need for more Western sports and Western lifestyle coverage and attract new fans to rodeo.

The renowned New Orleans Jazz Orchestra reflects on the wide-ranging influence of the Big Easy's own Allen Toussaint, the legendary composer, singer, pianist, and producer, with the March 29 digital release of "Songs: The Music of Allen Toussaint" on Storyville Records (physical release is set for April 19). The album features six songs by Toussaint and one associated with him, as well as two original tribute pieces. It also marks the NOJO leadership debut of drummerartistic director Adonis Rose, who assumed the mantle in 2016 to navigate the 18-piece orchestra out of the troubled waters surrounding its now-departed founder.
