Legendary voice actor Rob Paulsen, who has delighted generations of animation fanatics with his signature roles in "Pinky and the Brain," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," and other film and television projects, will be joined by "Animaniacs" composer Randy Rogel in "Animaniacs in Concert!" at The Loft at City Winery on Sunday, March 31st at 7:30 PM and is open to all ages.

Just a few months ago, Synetic Theater was preparing to lose its home, due to Amazon's HQ2 moving into town. It was previously reported by DCist that the theater's lease would not be renewed at 1800 South Bell Street, one of three buildings chosen to be used for Amazon's HQ2.

The ever-popular Films in Concert series continues with cinema landmark "Casablanca" in Concert with Utah Symphony playing the romantic soundtrack at 7PM in Abravanel Hall on March 1 and 2. The Utah Symphony under direction of Utah Symphony Associate Conductor Conner Gray Covington will play Max Steiner's moving score live while the entire film plays on the big screen. It's hard to believe that it's been over 40 years now since a little revue that started at New York's Manhattan Theatre Club took Broadway by storm. The show was Ain't Misbehavin' and if you didn't know who composer Thomas “Fats” Waller was before, you did after seeing this show. It also made Nell Carter a star and garnered her a television series called Gimme a Break. Besides Carter the cast was comprised of Charlaine Woodard, Armelia McQueen, Andre De Shields, and Ken Page. When the original cast returned for a Broadway revival of the show in the 80's, Nell Carter received star billing even though the show is truly an ensemble piece. Ah, the power of television.
