Signature Theatre and Stephen Sondheim have been a winning combination in the DC theatre scene since 1991when the company presented Sweeney Todd at Gunston. In 1992 it presented the Stephen Sondheim/John Weidman collaboration known as Assassins. The show was produced again by Signature in 2006 in their garage space.

Theatre Arlington closes out the 2018-2019 Season with the first work in Neil Simon's semi-autobiographical trilogy, Brighton Beach Memoirs. This coming-of-age story, opening August 9th, is an affectionate and humorous portrait of a Jewish-American family in 1937 Brooklyn as seen through the eyes of 15-year old Eugene Morris Jerome. Sharing his home with six other family members doesn't give him much privacy to dream about girls, particularly his beautiful cousin Nora, or playing baseball for the Yankees.

U.S. Bank has announced a performance in Phoenix at Mesa Arts Center's Piper Repertory Theater Wednesday, Aug. 21 featuring Lauren Alaina, Ingrid Andress, Marti Lynn Dodson and Mickey Guyton. The series hosts an intimate round of performances with some of Country Music's top songwriters taking turns sharing the stories behind their hit songs and performing them as originally written.
