American Stage Theatre Announces HOT OFF THE PRESSES Reading Series 12/7, 12/14, 1/4/2010

American Stage Theatre Company has announced a reading series for new plays by local playwrights called HOT OFF THE PRESSES. Tickets are free to the public for all readings. All readings will be followed by a talkback with the playwright and an evaluation form to help guide the plays development. Performances are Dec. 7, 14 and Jan. 4.
Accidental Repertory Theater Opens Season with BRECHT ON BRECHT, 10/29

John Strasberg, founder and Artistic Director of the Accidental Repertory Theater, has announced that the company will present as its first public production, the international classic 'BRECHT ON BRECHT,' adapted and translated by George Tabori, and directed by Mr. Strasberg. Ross Patterson will serve as Musical Director for the production. Performances of 'BRECHT ON BRECHT' will begin on Thursday, October 29, and the official opening night will be Sunday, November 1 at 7:30 p.m. Accidental Repertory Theater is located at 555 Eighth Avenue, Suite 403 (between 37th and 38th Streets). The run will continue for four weeks through Saturday, November 21.
Ghost Light Projects Premieres HEDWIG and DEBBIE DOES DALLAS Double Feature, 10/23

Ghost Light Projects has announced their double bill of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH and DEBBIE DOES DALLAS, which will open October 23rd and run through November 8th at the Theatre Centre in Toronto. Seth Drabinsky will headline in his Toronto stage debut as the sexually confused songstress Hedwig Schmidt which opens next week.
