INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) is proud to announce that the acclaimed world premiere of THE MAIDS by Jose Rivera, adapted from the play by Jean Genet, will extend until October 30th. Daniel Irizarry directs a cast that features Laura Butler Rivera, Daniel Irizarry, Charlie Munn, Casey Robinson, and Folami Williams. THE MAIDS by Jose Rivera is presented in association with One-Eighth Theater (founded by its Artistic Directors Daniel Irizarry and Laura Butler Rivera), which is continuing its residency at INTAR Theatre. THE MAIDS was developed, in part, with assistance from the Orchard Project, a program of The Exchange (Ari Edelson, Artistic Director Dean Strober, Executive Director, www.exchangenyc.org).

Sing for Hope will celebrate the fifth anniversary of its legendary community arts program, The Sing for Hope Pianos, with a public unveiling of all 50 pianos on June 6(th) at 28 Liberty Plaza in New York City. The event will feature Tony Award-winning actress Lea Salonga, Tony Award- and Drama Desk-nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega, former Late Night with David Letterman bandleader Paul Shaffer, the dynamic Anderson & Roe Piano Duo, cast members from On Site Opera's acclaimed Figaro Trilogy, saxophonist/composer Ted Nash, singer/songwriter Pete Muller, and other stars of the New York music scene, along with student musicians from Sing for Hope's programs.

The event benefits the Exchange's summer program, The Orchard Project, which incubates and accelerates innovative new theatrical work from around the world.
