The cast of UNCHAIN MY HEART, The Ray Charles Musical, will be lead by Brandon Victor Dixon (2010 Lortel, Drama League & Outer Critics Circle nominee for The Scottsboro Boys, 2006 Tony nominee for The Color Purple) starring as 'Ray Charles' and Nikki Renée Daniels (Promises, Promises, Nine) as 'Della'.

Bay Street Theatre's Picture Show expands this Spring with a new series for lovers of both music and film! As part of its three-week, nine-concert schedule at The Mann, The Philadelphia Orchestra will share the stage with a star studded line-up of special guest artists - from the king of daytime TV, Regis Philbin and his wife Joy narrating 'Peter and the Wolf' to the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin in an unforgettable night of her greatest hits and opera arias. Special guest and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will accompany 'The Queen' at the piano and perform with the orchestra.

Curtain Call's popular Musical Mondays series finishes its ninth season of presenting new musical theater works in concert on Monday, April 19, 7:30 pm with 'Take Me, America.' 'Take Me, America' was written by composer Bob Christianson and book writer / lyricist Bill Nabel. Nabel is best known for logging more than 9,000 performances as Broadway actor in such long-running shows as 'A Chorus Line,' 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'Evita,' '42nd Street' and 'Sweeney Todd. Christianson has composed for film and television, conducted Broadway musicals and recorded with Diana Ross, Judy Collins and Aretha Franklin, among many other artists.

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) has made a change to the previously announced Mainstage season. Due to a schedule conflict that has developed for the performers (who are also the authors), Louis and Keely: Live at the Sahara will no longer be included on the schedule. Over the Tavern, which was scheduled to close The Rep season will now be presented in the holiday slot December 1 through 26.

Starring Emily Senn as Cindy, Marissa Rosen and Rebecca Cesario as her guardian angels, and Justin Michael Lore as the Everyman in their lives, Suds is the musical comedy that the Los Angeles Times called 'Solid Gold Nostalgia.'

Jazzmobile Presents Vocalfest --- four weekends in April paying homage to Jazz Appreciation Month. New to Jazzmobile's events this year, Vocalfest is a month-long celebration paying tribute to jazz vocalists of the past and present. Starting Friday, April 9, Lynette Washington, winner of Jazzmobile's 2005 Jazz Vocal Competition, will perform. Lynette has worked with artists such as Aretha Franklin, U2, and Peter Gabriel. Cynthia Holiday, a New Jersey native and contemporary jazz singer, will follow on Saturday, April 10.
