Rapp, Bean et al. to Perform at Legends Equality Gala in NJ Tonight

Legends 2011 will have two themes: A celebration of the state's new anti-bullying law and anticipation of the next step to win marriage equality in New Jersey - a step expected imminently. Performing will be Anthony Rapp, star of the Tony Award®-winning musical Rent; Shoshana Bean, star of the Tony Award®-winning musical Wicked; NaTasha Yvette Williams, star of the Tony Award®-winning musical The Color Purple; Anwar Robinson, a finalist on television's American Idol; Liz Callaway, Emmy Award®-winner and star of the Tony Award®-winning musical Miss Saigon; and the Grammy®-nominated, Broadway and recording star Maureen McGovern.

The Triad and Lee Summers hosted the 'Just A Piano Open Mic Launch: A Benefit For Haiti' last night, January 31st. The 'Just A Piano' concept broadened for this series inviting singers to also bring accompanists or pre-recorded tracks, musical instruments or play on The Triad's recently refurbished baby grand. All proceeds from the event were donated to The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund and The American Red Cross.

Jim Caruso's Cast Party, in association with Amy Birnbaum, is proud to announce that the Broadway community will pay musical tribute to the late, great Michael Jackson in DON'T STOP TILL YOU GET ENOUGH, on Monday, October 19 at 7pm at Birdland. A portion of the proceeds from the concert will benefit The VH1 Save The Music Foundation. The event will be part of the ongoing, award-winning Broadway at Birdland concert series.
