Melba Moore Presents 'The Gift of Love' Release Concert at The Triad, 11/12; Phil Perry Featured Guest

The Triad has announce the CD Listening Party for Melba Moore's "The Gift of Love" on Thursday night, November 12th at 9pm featuring a live performance by Ms. Moore and veteran R&B star Phil Perry. An exclusive artist meet & greet/ autograph session will immediately follow.

THE GIFT OF LOVE released on September 29th pairs R&B legend and Tony Award-winning actress Melba Moore with veteran R&B star Phil Perry. Co-produced by Chris "Big Dog" Davis, Preston Glass, David Nathan, and Dwayne Palmer and released on Shanachie, the set contains 11 upbeat, uplifting, and inspirational songs that run the gamut from contemporary gospel to adult contemporary. These duets are structured in an old-school soul style, but the sonic presentation is up to the minute for radio. The tracks include, "Optimistic," a kind of anthem for the entire album; the classic Broadway ballad "I Believe," which is a solo for Moore; the shimmering "Sadie," with saxophone work from Kim Waters; and the title track that closes the album. This is message music that engages the listener musically as much as it does inspirationally.

Ms. Moore will also be featured live on 98.7 Kiss FM with Brian McKnight & Lenny Greene on Tuesday, October 27th at 7:15pm.

Melba Moore has performed several sold-out concerts at The Triad including a performance as part of Lee Summers' Just A Piano Concert Series.
