It's right around the corner - Make Music New York's sixth annual Make Music Winter takes place on Today, December 21, 2016, the shortest day of the year. These thirteen participatory parades offer New Yorkers a unique opportunity to sing, play, and even dance their way through streets, parks, and other public spaces throughout the city.

Make Music Winter is Back in NYC this December

Make Music New York is proud to announce the sixth annual Make Music Winter, taking place on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, the shortest day of the year. From the The Bronx to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, thirteen participatory parades will bring New Yorkers together to sing, play, and dance their way through streets, parks, and other public spaces throughout the city. Amateurs and professionals, smartphone users and fiddlers - all are invited to take part.

Milford Arts Council Announces First Show of Nite Spot Nights Series

Milford Arts Council, in association with Pantochino Productions Inc. announce the first show of their Nite Spot Nights series of cabaret entertainment for the coming season.  Amy Lynn and the Honey Men, formerly Amy Lynn and the Gunshow, is a seven-piece machine that blows glitter all over the traditional memphis-motown soul/rock style. At the controls is Amy Lynn, a vocal powerhouse whose unique flair of quirky, down-to-earth humor countervails against the serious musicianship of her band's bari sax, tenor sax, trumpet, keys, bass, and drums. Both together and apart, members of band draw on a range of experience playing for acts such as Roberta Flack, Spoon, Bette Midler, Red Baraat, St. Vincent, The National, Yo La Tengo, Loser's Lounge, Duffy, Antibalas, and the Radio City Orchestra.  

ARJUN Album Release Concert at Rockwood Music Hall

?Groove Jam Rock Trio ARJUN, will celebrate the release of their new album Gravity at New York's acclaimed music venue, Rockwood Music Hall on Thursday, Auguest 11th, 2016 at 9:30 p.m.  ARJUN will debut new songs form Gravity (Pheromone Records), the follow-up to their critically acclaimed and chart topping Core.  ARJUN teamed up once again with legendary producer/mixer Scotty Hard (Bjork, Wu-Tang Clan, Antibalas, Arto Lindsay, Medeski Martin & Wood, Charlie Hunter, and Sex Mob) for recording and mixing duties.  Gravity features special guests Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band,  Bela Fleck and the Flecktones) and Cory Henry (Snarky Puppy).

Vered and the Babes Family Concert Set for Jewish Museum, 2/21

Vered and the Babes will star in a hip concert for families at the Jewish Museum on Sunday, February 21 at 11:30 am. The band, featuring Vered Benhorin with Rob Jost and Matt Hilgenberg, performs funny, poignant, and upbeat melodies, reminiscent of doo-wop, from their hit albums Good Morning My Love, praised by the Parents' Choice Foundation as having "warmth enough to melt the polar ice cap." Vered and the Babes play a variety of instruments, ranging from French horn and trumpet to pots and pans, with kids and parents alike jumping and singing along. The concert program includes songs geared to helping new parents bond with their babies as well as tunes for children up to age 6.
