The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) honors Broadway star and multiple time Tony Award and Drama Desk nominee Kelli O'Hara for her work in the theater at the NYMF 2012 Annual Gala taking place tonight, November 11th at The Hudson Theatre (145 W. 44th Street) beginning at 6:00pm.

3-D Theatricals' final show of the 2012 season is the Tony Award-winning musical HAIRSPRAY, featuring choreography by Dana Solimando, musical direction by Allen Everman, and directed by 3-D Theatricals Executive Producer and Artistic Director T.J. Dawson. HAIRSPRAY opened on Saturday, October 13 and performed through Sunday, October 28 at the historic Plummer Auditorium, 201 E. Chapman Ave. in Fullerton. HAIRSPRAY then traveled across town to perform at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd., for three performances only, ending today, November 4. Bay Area Cabaret kicks off its 2012-2013 season with Motown legend Mary Wilson, back for her first show in the historic Venetian room since performing there with the "Supremes" more than two decades ago.

Happy Birthday Anthony Rapp! An actor since the age of six, Rapp has appeared on Broadway in Precious Sons (Outer Critics Circle Award), Six Degrees of Separation and the revival of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. His films include Adventures in Babysitting, School Ties, Dazed and Confused, Six Degrees of Separation, David Searching, Man of the Century, Road Trip, A Beautiful Mind, Open House, Winter Passing, Danny Roane: First Time Director and Scaring the Fish. His book, Without You: a Memoir of Love, Loss, and the Musical Rent, about his experiences on and offstage, was published in 2006 by Simon & Schuster and became a national bestseller.

Last night, Paul Rudd, who is currently starring in GRACE on Broadway, hosted an All Star Bowling Event to benefit Our Time at Lucky Strike. Attendees for the special event included: Mariska Hargitay, Steve Kazee, Eve Plumb, Anthony Rapp, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Amy Ryan, and many more. Janet Brenner and Michael Coco will present Fiction in Photographs, a new musical featuring the music and lyrics of Dan Mills, conceived and directed by Randy Redd, and featuring the photography of Sasha Israel. Three free presentations, open to the public, will be offered at the New World Stages/Stage 1 (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues) on Wednesday October 10th (4pm), Thursday October 11th (7pm) and Friday October 12th (7pm).

According to Entertainment Weekly, Rocky Horror's Barry Bostwick has just joined previously announced Anthony Rapp (RENT) and Brooke Lyons ('2 Broke Girls') in the upcoming musical episode of 'Psych' on USA Network. He will play 'Armitage', owner of a theater in Santa Barbara.
