The Paley Center for Media today announced a new schedule of weekly offerings for its Paley@Home on YouTube channel, a curated collection of programming of acclaimed Paley Center events.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, Taiwanese Canadian Comedian Ed Hill will postpone his original March 28 taping of his comedy special Candy and Smiley to October 10, 2020.

Following a highly competitive negotiation, HBO Max has announced an exclusive, multi-year deal with beloved children's author Mo Willems, an Emmy®-Award winning writer, New York Times best-selling author, and illustrator, establishing Willems as HBO Max's very first artist in residence. As part of this two-year deal, HBO Max has acquired streaming rights to Willems' first live-action special Don't Let the Pigeon Do Storytime! from Greg Silverman's media company Stampede Ventures who will produce all additional content under this deal. HBO Max has committed to additional live-action Storytime specials, as well as multiple animated specials based on Willems' wildly popular children's books. The first animated special will be based on New York Times Best Seller, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed.

Last night the NAACP Image Awards were held. Taking home the top prize of Entertainer of the Year was Lizzo.

In back-to-back events, the African American community comes together for a weekend celebrating Black excellence. On February 22, the 51st NAACP Image Awards airing live on BET Networks is the preeminent multicultural awards show from an African American point of view. It celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film and honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors. The next evening, the American Black Film Festival will host its annual awards season gala, ABFF Honors. The ceremony celebrates Black culture by recognizing individuals who have made distinguished contributions to American entertainment. The honorees being celebrated at ABFF Honors have leveraged their career to carve out a space for people of color in Hollywood helping to create a more diverse landscape. ABFF Honors is an opportunity for the industry to acknowledge how far entertainment has come and thank the individuals who have made it their mission to propel the African American community forward.

Off the heels of its season three premiere, Freeform's hit comedy series “grown-ish” continues to shine as must-see television among key audiences. In the 2019/20 TV season to date, “grown-ish” ranks as the No. 1 live-action cable comedy series among women 18-34 and women 18-49. “grown-ish” is also the No. 1 live-action cable comedy series of the season to date among African American adults 18-34 and adults 18-49.
