Go Comedy! Gets Ready for 8th Anniversary with Two Original Comedies and CYNICISION 2016

As Go Comedy! prepares to celebrate its 8th anniversary in November, it has added two original comedies, a Halloween party and a very special election night celebration to its schedule. Tickets for all Go Comedy! shows ($5-$18) are available now online at www.gocomedy.net and beginning at 6:00pm Wednesday - Sunday in person at the Go Comedy! box office. Initial Casting Announced for FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, 10/27; Hannah Elless, Mamie Parris, Jonah Platt and More!

New York, New York: National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) is thrilled to announce the first round of casting for the 28th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Today, October 27 and Friday, October 28, 2016 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). The Festival will kick off on Wednesday, October 26 with its celebrated concert, The 46th Minute, which features songs from Festival shows you will not get to hear in the 45-minute presentation.

Billy Strayhorn Musical LUSH LIFE to Premiere Next Month at the Matrix

CEK Productions presents the World Premiere of LUSH LIFE, book by Carole Eglash-Kosoff, musical direction and arrangements by Rahn Coleman, choreography by Cassie Crump and direction by John Henry Davis. LUSH LIFE begins previews Friday, November 11, 2016 and opens Friday, November 18 at 8pm. The production runs through Sunday, December 18 at the Matrix Theatre, 7657 Melrose Ave. in West Hollywood.

A new block of tickets are now on sale through Sunday, January 8, 2017. 

Lumina Vocal Ensemble to Present THE TIME TRAVELLER'S GUIDE TO CHORAL MUSIC 6/11

The final presentation in the 2016 Concerts at Christ Church North Adelaide series is a wonderful musical journey with the celebrated Lumina Vocal Ensemble. The journey begins with an evocative 5thCentury Armenian chant, and movies through twelve centuries before coming to rest in the current time and place with a just-penned Epiphany by James Scott and a 'surround-sound' collage overlaying music of the past with that of the now.

Randall Duk Kim and Anne Occhiogrosso Star in World Premiere of THE PLEASURE OF HIS COMPANY

UW/Madison's Union Theatre and Shannon Hall presents the world premiere of Randall Duk Kim and Anne Occhiogrosso starring in 'The Pleasure of His Company: Our 40 Year Love Affair with William Shakespeare,' an evening of personal recollections, dramatic scenes and stories of Shakespeare's influence on Kim and Occhiogrosso's lives and careers for more than four decades, at 7:00 PM on October 21 at UW/Madison's Union Theatre / Shannon Hall. The 2-character performance piece, conceived and written by Kim and Occhiogrosso for this occasion, combines performance of signature Shakespearean dramatic scenes with performance pieces which celebrate Shakespeare's contribution to world literature.

SHE LOVES ME Holiday Musical Comes to San Francisco

Nominated for a total of six Tony Awards in 2016 and winner of the Drama Desk and Outer Critic Circle Awards for Outstanding Revival of a Musical, She Loves Me, based on the same romantic story as the popular film You've Got Mail, follows Amalia and George, two perfume shop clerks who don't quite see eye to eye. Constantly bumping heads while on the job, the sparring coworkers can't seem to find common ground. After they each respond to a "lonely hearts advertisement" in the newspaper, they start to fall for their anonymous pen pals-but will love continue to blossom once their identities are finally revealed?

Mirror Visions Ensemble to Present WHEN ICICLES HANG BY THE WALL at Sheen Center

On Tuesday, December 6 at 8:00 p.m., Mirror Visions Ensemble (MVE) presents its winter-inspired program When Icicles Hang by the Wall at the Loreto Theater at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture, as part of the ensemble's 25th anniversary season. The concert features soprano Vira Slywotzky, tenor Scott Murphree, and baritone Mischa Bouvier, together with pianist Grant Wenaus.  

Florida Grand Opera Celebrates Largest Gift in Company History

Friday was a big day at Florida Grand Opera (FGO). The company held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to commemorate the largest gift in its 75 year history - its 35,000 square foot office and rehearsal space. FGO's General Director and CEO, Susan T. Danis, opened the event with a short introduction welcoming press and donors to the momentous occasion and expressing the sincere gratitude of all those affiliated with the Opera.
