Mosaic Announces Full 2017 VOICES FROM A CHANGING MIDDLE EAST Festival Lineup

Mosaic Theater Company of DC presents the culmination of its expansive and hugely successful second season with the 2017 Voices From a Changing Middle East Festival. This year's festival is of particular resonance in this 50th year since the Six Day War and the start of The Occupation, and focuses on two taut dramas about the lives, circumstances, and humanity of Palestinians in Israel and Gaza.

Washington Ensemble Theatre presents Cherdonna's DOLL'S HOUSE, a Collaboration with Stranger Genius Award Winner Cherdonna Shinatra

This Spring Washington Ensemble Theatre (WET) will give Henrik Ibsen's beloved play A Doll's House a fresh new makeover in Cherdonna's Doll's House, a wild and dynamic collaboration with and featuring Cherdonna Shinatra (aka Jody Kuehner), the 2015 Stranger Genius Award winner for Performance. Playing April 28 - May 15, 2017 in the Studio Theater at 12th Avenue Arts, Cherdonna's Doll's House follows the story of Nora, a married woman and mother who struggles to discover her true self or lack thereof. Cherdonna, who is part bio-drag queen, part contemporary dancer, and part performance artist, will celebrate, dissect, and illuminate this text through her own unique feminist lens, scouring Ibsen, Nora, Torvald, and the whole gang for contemporary meaning. Ali Mohamed el-Gasseir, former Co-Artistic Director of WET and co-adapter of the play with Kuehner, directs.

Intertwining themes of money, power, and love weave through the plays of Seattle Shakespeare Company's upcoming season just announced by Artistic Director George Mount. Plans for the company's 2017-2018 season include Julius Caesar, The Government Inspector, Timon of Athens, The Merchant of Venice, and Shakespeare in Love.

Chaos Reigns in Annex Theatre's ACME

Chaos reigns in this ensemble satire about the trappings of technology, brand-allegiance, and science-gone-amok! Jules (Nabilah Ahmed, Waning), an MIT dropout with a chip on her shoulder, has just arrived for her first day of a lucrative internship at ACME: world-famous manufacturer of all things necessary. With every new face she meets, Jules falls deeper into the machinations of ACME and its peculiar past. Undeterred, Jules charges headfirst into the weird unknown. The question is: will she survive long enough to see day two?

Annex Theatre Launches 30th Season

Annex Theatre, the longest-running fringe theatre in Seattle, launches its 30th Anniversary Season in 2017. As a democratic collective of theatre artists dedicated to producing bold new work, Annex is proud to present new and familiar Seattle artists in eight exciting projects. The Theatre School at DePaul University Presents WE ARE PROUD TO PRESENT...

The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present We Are Proud to Present... by Jackie Sibblies Drury, and directed by Erin Kraft on the Fullerton Stage at The Theatre School at DePaul University. The production opens on Friday, February 10, and runs through Sunday, February 19, 2017. Performances are Todays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on February 8 and 9 at 7:30 PM.
