Reservations Now Open for A DOZEN DREAMS

Reservations are now open for A Dozen Dreams, an immersive theatrical installation based on the pandemic-inspired dreams of 12 leading American playwrights. Produced by En Garde Arts and presented by Arts Brookfield, A Dozen Dreams premieres at Brookfield Place on Thursday, May 13 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 30.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is with a heavy heart that En Garde Arts is canceling the remaining stops in the Bronx and Brooklyn on their five-borough tour of Fandango For Butterflies (And Coyotes).

En Garde Arts Production Of FANDANGO FOR BUTTERFLIES (AND COYOTES) Is On Sale Now

Tickets are on sale now for the world premiere production of Fandango for Butterflies (and Coyotes) written by Andrea Thome and directed by José Zayas, with original music by Sinuhé Padilla and choreography by Alexandra Beller. Produced by En Garde Arts (Anne Hamburger, Founder and Artistic Director; Heather Cohen, Executive Director), Fandango for Butterflies (and Coyotes) begins performances on Thursday, February 6, with a press opening of Monday, February 10 at 7 pm, at the historic Ellen Stewart Theatre at La MaMa before touring all five boroughs of New York, ending its run on Saturday, March 28 at the Irondale Center in Brooklyn (see below for full tour schedule). Inspired by interviews with undocumented immigrants from Latin America living in New York, En Garde Arts (Anne Hamburger, Founder and Artistic Director) is thrilled to present the world premiere of Fandango for Butterflies (and Coyotes) in all five boroughs of New York City, kicking off on Thursday, February 6 at the historic Ellen Stewart Theatre at La MaMa. The piece will take the form of a fandango, a community celebration where stories are brought to life through live performance, music, and dance.

Students from TDF's Wendy Wasserstein Project Will Celebrate Graduation on June 3

Over 400 guests including current and past New York City high school students and their mentors who have participated in the TDF Wendy Wasserstein Project, the theatre arts mentoring program, (formerly called "Open Doors"), that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation ceremony at 5:30pm on Monday, June 3at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street, NYC). The graduation ceremony will open with a performance by Aisha Jackson who covers the role of Anna in Disney's Frozen.
