SOMEONE WILL KNOW HER NAME - CARRIE THE MUSICAL TAKES ON LAS VEGAS

As rehearsals start today, final casting is announced for the world premiere of King Kong, who will bring terror - and laughter -  to The Vaults tunnels underneath London's Waterloo Station from Thursday 22 June.

SRO Theatre Company's 2016-2017 season will conclude with the Tony Award winning comedy The 39 Steps. This fast-paced whodunit, adapted by Patrick Barlow from the 1915 novel by John Buchan and the 1935 film by Alfred Hitchcock, is a riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive stagecraft.

Coney Island USA's 35th Annual Mermaid Parade will begin at 1 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2017. The parade starts at the corner of West 21st Street and Surf Avenue, and proceeds east on Surf Avenue to West 10th Street, where it turns south to the Boardwalk, and then north back to Steeplechase Plaza, where it concludes.

A dark, tragic, comedy creates a surprsing mix

Rehearsals began this week for the new West End cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child who will start their performances at the Palace Theatre in London's West End on 24 May 2017 following the final performance from the current cast on 21 May 2017. 

Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts continues its spectacular 2016-2017 season with the chaotic comedy The 39 Steps, running Today, March 10 through March 26 on the MainStage.

Coronado Playhouse continues its 71 st Season with The 39 Steps, from March 24 to April 23, 2017. Hitchcock meets Hilarious in this multi-award- winning stage adaptation of "The Master of Suspense's" murderous classic thriller. Director Desha Crownover (Seussical, 2016) makes a welcome return to Coronado Playhouse to direct this ingenious and entertaining theatrical extravaganza.

The T. Schreiber Studio for Theatre & Film, one of the country's foremost professional actor training and performance programs, will celebrate its 48th Anniversary on Monday, March 27th, 2017. The event will also be in celebration of Terry Schreiber's 80th Year.

Jobsite Theatre is excited to announce complete casting for Caryl Churchill's Cloud 9, closing our season this July! The show goes into rehearsal in June.  Immediately next up is Martin McDonagh's A Skull in Connemara in March (casting already announced and going into rehearsal on Feb. 6) and then Israel Horovitz's Gloucester Blue (still in casting).

"I just fell in love with this play and the beautiful and quirky love story at its center.  I think our audiences are about to fall in love with it too," says Wareham.  CHAPATTI will begin previews on Wednesday, January 11; will open on Sunday, January 15 at 5:30pm and will run through Sunday, January 29, 2016 at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.

MAN IN SNOW - the newest work by celebrated playwright Israel Horovitz (OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES) - will receive its New York premiere this fall at La MaMa's First Floor Theatre (77 E. 4 St.) with previews beginning tonight, November 11, prior to opening night November 14, 2016.   Mr. Horovitz also directs the play. 

From what it looks like in the play The 39 Steps, apparently 4 actors playing dozens of characters are more than enough to create a fun evening filled with laughter, especially when it's presented at the Library (Ha'Sifriya) Theatre in Ramat Gan and directed by Mitko Bozakov.

THE 39 STEPS opens at Artisan Center Theater on Friday, October 28, 2016 and runs through Saturday, November 26, 2016. The 150 seat Second Stage theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. Performances are at 7:00pm on Thursdays and Saturdays and8:00pm on Fridays. No performance November 24.
