The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center’s Teatro Salon proudly announces the return of Anna De Luna’s original solo performance of Carmen From Mexico, scheduled for April 15-16, 2022, at the Guadalupe Theater, 1301 Guadalupe St. Curtain is at 8 p.m. with general admission of $12. Carmen From Mexico was presented as a world premiere at the historic Guadalupe Theater in 2021 to sold out audiences.

Tacoma Arts Live's Regional Theater Program presents Anna in the Tropics, a poignant and poetic play that garnered the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for then unknown Cuban-American playwright Nilo Cruz. Anna will open for a preview on Thursday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m., plus seven additional performances through April 10 at Tacoma's Theater on the Square.

Disney Theatrical Productions, under the direction of Thomas Schumacher, has announced that McKenzie Kurtz, who made her Broadway debut playing “Anna” in Frozen, will reprise the role on the North American tour March 17 – April 11, 2022. She will play opposite her Broadway co-star Ryan McCartan, who is starring in the tour March 17 – April 17.

Soprano Anna Netrebko Steps Down from Upcoming Performances at the Met Opera

Not complying with the Met’s condition that she repudiate her public support for Vladimir Putin while he wages war on Ukraine, soprano Anna Netrebko has withdrawn from her upcoming Met performances in Puccini's Turandot this April and May, as well as the run of Verdi's Don Carlo next season. “It is a great artistic loss for the Met and for opera,” said Met General Manager Peter Gelb. “Anna is one of the greatest singers in Met history, but with Putin killing innocent victims in Ukraine, there was no way forward.”
