Glass Mind Theatre's THE PRETTIES Opens Tonight
by BWW News Desk - Aug 7, 2015

Furies scream, goddesses judge, and dead girls ponder in Ann Turiano's THE PRETTIES, an adaptation of Aeschylus' blood-soaked trilogy The Oresteia. The voices of Clytemnestra, Cassandra, Electra and other women frame the journey of Orestes as he seeks revenge for the murder of his father, Agamemnon, by his mother. This adaptation captures and reinvents the entire Greek trilogy in one evening, and still gets you home way before midnight.

BWW Reviews: THE WELL OF HORNINESS Pumps Pulchritudinous Punchlines Through Theatre Project
by Cybele Pomeroy - Jun 7, 2015

THE WELL OF HORNINESS, the current production playing at Theatre Project, has madcap motion, familiar characters, sexy action sequences/active sex sequences and clever, punny wordplay for ninety minutes front to back. It's funny, raunchy, ridiculous and insubstantial. Go. Take your popcorn.

Iron Crow Theatre Company's THE WELL OF HORNINESS Opens Tonight
by BWW News Desk - Jun 5, 2015

This hilarious and wild send up of a film-noir detective genre puts the focus on the women in this all-female Baltimore premiere of Holly Hughes' The Well of Horniness. As director Julianne Franz says, this play is 'a lust-filled lover who woos you with wit while in a full-on panic to get your clothes off'. This outrageous comedy by playwright, lesbian icon, and Iron Crow Theatre Advisory Board member Holly Hughes is sure to be sexy, funny, and with just the right amount of mania expected of a live-show with a studio audience.

BWW Reviews: Glass Mind Theatre's THE DUM DUMS Provides Visual Yum Yums at Gallery 788
by Cybele Pomeroy - Mar 30, 2015

I rather wanted to call Glass Mind Theatre's THE DUM DUMS a weird little piece of experimental theatre, but it is, in fact, a plot-driven story, with regular people characters and a beginning middle and end, so not all that 'experimental' after all. It FEELS experimental, but in a good way.

Glass Mind Presents THE DUM DUMS, Now thru 4/4
by BWW News Desk - Mar 13, 2015

Three female astronauts take off to explore a super-Earth when a programming error threatens their mission. Maybe it's the reality TV or the White Castle cheeseburgers - but when the hallucinations start - we have to ask who, or what, is out there?

The Chicken Box presents the Baltimore Premiere of EIGHTYSIX, Nov. 5-8. Starting at age fourteen until her early twenties, playwright Annelise Montone earned her spending money waiting tables. Some places were fancy, some cheap, but they all had one thing in common: the camaraderie of the people in the trenches.

Glass Mind Theatre Plays with Miss Manners in RSVP, Now thru 6/15
by BWW News Desk - Jun 6, 2014

Time travel might not be first thing that comes to mind when people think of manners; usually it's more like which fork to use when. But, in Glass Mind's production of RSVP, based on Emily Post's Etiquette, you can expect that combination. Director Ann Turiano, who is also leading the cast in the devising process, uses time travel to go back and forth between 1922 and 2014 to look at different ideas of acceptable behavior in the two different eras.

by Devin MacDonald - Jul 12, 2013

Join the Baltimore Shakespeare Factory in The Meadow at Johns Hopkins University's beautiful Evergreen Museum & Library for two of Will's most popular works. According to Artistic Director Tom Delise "HAMLET is not simply the tragedy of the Prince of Denmark -- it is also a ghost story, a detective story, a love story, a story of power and ambition, a revenge story, and even at times, a comedy." Through our signature audience interaction, The Factory literally invites viewers to respond to the many questions raised by the play.
