With the commitment of its staff and board of directors, Brava! for Women in the Arts hopes to finish the renovation of its landmark building by spring 2010. The venue located in San Francisco's Mission District on 24th Street, plans a Fall opening of the facilities which include a street-side Cabaret/Music space, administrative offices and Greenroom.

Brava! for Women in the Arts celebrates the completion of its first theatrical season under the new direction of Artistic Director, Raelle Myrick-Hodges, with a special end of the year event. ?Seven plays in Seven months. We hired over 175 local actors, directors and production artists and I believe we have a ton to be proud of ? particularly during this economic climate.? Jenn Colella has been confirmed to play the title role in the new Off-Broadway production of Beebo Brinker Chronicles, beginning a 10-week limited engagement Off-Broadway run February 19 at 37 Arts
Hourglass Group in association with Piece by Piece Productions has announced the transfer of their acclaimed production of The Beebo Brinker Chronicles to an Off-Broadway contract. Performances will now run through October 28 at The Fourth Street Theatre.
The Hourglass Group presents The Beebo Brinker Chronicles adapted from the groundbreaking 1950s lesbian pulp novels by Ann Bannon, a new play by Kate Moira Ryan and Linda S. Chapman, directed by Leigh Silverman. Opening tonight for a limited run through October 20.
