As January winds to an end, the party still rages on at Joe's Pub!

Emma van Heyn is a South African actor, musician and songwriter. This 24 year old has released a vast kaleidoscope of musical creations. From a 16 track self-produced album, to recent singles and theatre sound design. She has just completed a successful live tour to London and New York City with her new upcoming releases.

Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Seth Glier hasreleased a new single. Entitled 'Stages', the new release draws upon traditional roots music while adding experimental instrumentation and pop sensibility, for a unique exploration of sound. Glier has been descried by NPR as having an 'otherworldly' voice. He is set to embark on a national tour followed by a US State Department sponsored international tour as a music ambassador.

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco will return to Australia in April 2020 for the first time in ten years, for a national tour which will include performances at Bluesfest. This tour will take her to Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Byron Bay and tickets are on sale now.

On Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 8:00 p.m., jazz supergroup Artemis make their Carnegie Hall debut in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. Each renowned for their outstanding solo work, these powerhouse musicians including Cécile McLorin Salvant (Vocals), Renee Rosnes (Music Director and Piano), Anat Cohen (Clarinet and Bass Clarinet), Melissa Aldana (Tenor Saxophone), Ingrid Jensen (Trumpet), Noriko Ueda (Bass), and Allison Miller (Drums) captivate audiences with bold new arrangements of classics by The Beatles to Thelonious Monk, as well as strikingly original compositions by the group's members.

Singer-songwriter and visual artist Natalia Zukerman and singer-songwriter and storyteller Anne Heaton will bring songs, stories, and pictures to Club Helsinki Hudson on Thursday, December 5, at 8pm.

Today, acclaimed singer/songwriter Pieta Brown released her newest single 'Bring Me' off her forthcoming album Freeway. Out on September 20th via Ani DiFranco's Righteous Babe Records, the lush new album was co-produced with Bon Iver drummer and renowned solo artist S. Carey. A fluid and magnetic track, 'Bring Me' has become an emotional centerpiece to the album. 'If music is love, we'll have enough,' sings Pieta, celebrating the beauty in our brokenness.

America's adored World-Folk music group, Rising Appalachia, have already had a career-defining year and it's the start of September. Sisters Leah Song and Chloe Smith have led the band to new heights in 2019; releasing their much-anticipated LP Leylines which was met with high praise from fans and critics alike. Today, the band released the official video for the song “Cuckoo” via Billboard Magazine, who called the song a “perception changer” that “channels their southern roots.” Next week, the band will showcase at AMERICANAFEST in Nashville, TN before kicking off a two month Leylines release tour in Telluride, CO on Sept. 2o. 

Kris Kelly has released his new album Runaways.  True and vulnerable, Runaways is a collection of songs that encapsulates an entire chapter of Kris' life. The album is a collection of songs inspired by self-discovery and is a raw and candid snapshot of Kris' journey.  The world has been getting small samplings of the record through various track releases including “Birthplace,” “We Flew,”and “Cracked Porcelain,” leading up to the full album release.  

The Boch Center and Club Passim announced today that Grammy-award winner Patty Griffin will join Josh Ritter, Dar Williams, and special guests to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Passim with a benefit concert at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 8:00PM. On May 9-10, Irish singer, actor, and songwriter Lisa Lambe (of Celtic Women) will make an exhilarating return to Irish Arts Center for performances of work from her second solo album.
