The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis and Webster University will co-host the St. Louis premiere reading of the epilogue to the acclaimed play The Laramie Project which, since its debut in 2000, has been one of the most performed plays in America.

As previously announced, on October 12, nearly 150 theaters nationwide will stage readings of the epilogue piece to 2000's The Laramie Project, entitled The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later, in honor of the 11th anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death. Two regional companies that have announced productions include Washington DC's Arena Stage and Who Wants Cake in Michigan.

The coda to the Laramie Project, The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later, will premiere at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall on October 12, the anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death on which the play is based. As part of the opening event, stage and screen star Glenn Close will host a pre-show that will be webcast to over 150 theaters nationwide that will also be presenting this sequel piece.

StageWest and The Des Moines Playhouse present 'The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later,' at 7:00 PM, on Monday, Oct. 12, at The Des Moines Playhouse. Tickets are free, and may be picked up at The Playhouse ticket office, Noon-6:00 PM, Tuesday-Friday. There is a limit of four tickets per person.
