Now rumors are circulating that British singer Leona Lewis might take on the role instead. A source told the Daily Star that Lewis is Lloyd Webber's first choice to replace Scherzinger.
As previously reported, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber spoke to The Economist Radio this week and revealed that Nicole Scherzinger, who starred as Grizabella in the recent West End revival of Cats, had initially signed on for the upcoming Broadway production but changed her mind just before rehearsals got underway. Now, Scherzinger has responded to Lloyd Webber's 'furious' reaction, bearing no ill will toward the theatre legend.

The new and improved Cinderella resonates with modern sensibilities, adding to the time-honored splendor of both the damsel and those about her.
The national tour of CINDERELLA is in Central Pennsylvania. It's more spectacular than you heard, and beautiful to watch, but the political revisions don't fit.
