Photo Coverage: Cast of CINDERELLA, Majestic Theatre Partner with The Fairy Godmother Project
As Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA comes to the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, Texas, many high school students are dreaming of the upcoming Prom season. A nonprofit organization in San Antonio called The Fairy Godmother Project teamed up with the Majestic Theatre and cast members from CINDERELLA to help collect prom dresses for girls who may not be able to afford them. CINDERELLA cast members Andy Huntington Jones (Prince Topher) and Audrey Cardwell (Cinderella understudy) are a real-life couple who were married this past November. They were thrilled to know of this wonderful program to help the girls in the San Antonio area to have their own fairy tale prom experience with the opportunity to pick from the many dresses donated.
The Fairy Godmother Project is a nonprofit founded and helmed by Carmen De La Rosa. It provides San Antonio high school girls with prom dresses if they can't afford them. Gently worn and new prom dresses of all sizes and styles are needed for a giveaway at a free conference for girls that will take place on Saturday, April 30 at Palo Alto College. Tickets for Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA start at $35 and are available by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 982.ARTS (2787), at all Ticketmaster outlets including the Majestic Box Office, or online at www.BroadwayInSanAntonio.com and www.ticketmaster.com. The Majestic Box Office does not accept single ticket orders over the phone; all ticket sales must be made in person. Majestic Box Office hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
