Lin-Manuel Miranda Wants to Hear HAMILTON on the Radio

HAMILTON creator Lin-Manuel Miranda has a dream that one day we'll be listening to showtunes on the radio again. He explained in a recent interview with Rolling Stone: 'You used to hear a Cole Porter song on the radio and then you'd go pay for a ticket to a Broadway show to hear that song in a show. If any cast album could afford to push the limit of that, it's this one.'

Today's #Ham4Ham performance reportedly blocked the entire street in front of the Richard Rodgers Theatre due to the multitude of spectators, according to Twitter reports. The performers at the special event this afternoon were HAMILTON's Ariana DeBose with special guest Ryann Redmond (BRING IT ON).

Ars Nova presents THE ARS NOVA REVOLUTION, celebrating Ars Nova All Stars Jill Furman, Thomas Kail and Lin-Manuel Miranda, from Freestyle Love Supreme (Ars Nova, 2004) to HAMILTON (Broadway, 2015). This epic night of revelry benefiting Ars Nova's artist community, featuring performances by cast members of Hamilton and Freestyle Love Supreme, was held just last night at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street). HAMILTON to Play Benefit Performance for Wesleyan University in October

On October 2, Wesleyan University will host a sold-out benefit performance of the much celebrated musical Hamilton at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Alumni Lin-Manuel Miranda '02, Hamilton star and creator of the book, music, and lyrics, and director Thomas Kail '99, are giving back to the university that helped launch their theater careers. The two previously collaborated on the hit musical In the Heights, of which Miranda wrote early versions while a student at Wesleyan.

The rumors were true! As previously reported, Sir Cameron Mackintosh (producer of OLIVER!, LES MISERABLES, PHANTOM, MARY POPPINS, MISS SAIGON and CATS) plans to bring Broadway's box-office blockbuster HAMILTON to the West End in 2017. The Daily Mail now writes that Mackintosh is touring West End venues with producers Jeffrey Seller and Oskar Eustis next month, including WAR HORSE's current home at the New London through March 12, 2016.

Performing Arts Fort Worth is delighted to announce that the national tour of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Andy Blankenbuehler, is coming to Bass Performance Hall Sept. 18-20. Tickets start at $55 and will go on sale Today, April 3.
