New York's The Acting Company, a TONY Honors Recipient for Excellence in Theater, brings Shakespeare's lushly lighthearted comedy As You Like It to The New Victory Theater as part of their 40th anniversary season. Directed by Pig Iron Theatre Company's Dan Rothenberg, As You Like It by The Acting Company will make its New York Premiere at The New Victory Theater, 209 West 42nd Street, from March 1-10, 2013.
The Flea Extends I HATE F*CKING MEXICANS thru December 11

After a successful run at The Flea, the theater has announced the extension of the U.S. Premiere of I HATE F*CKING MEXICANS by Luis Enrique Gutierrez Ortiz Monasterio "the enfant terrible of contemporary Mexican theater." Translated by Debbie Saivetz, Ana Graham, and Danya Taymor and directed by Ms. Taymor, a Flea Resident Director; the production features members of The Bats and The Riot Group's Adriano Shapman. Previews began October 9, with opening night on October 18. The show is now extended with limited performances through December 11.

The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare, directed by Arin Arbus, is Theatre for a New Audience's fifth and final production of the 2011 - 2012 theatre season. Maggie Siff (Sons of Anarchy and Mad Men) and Andy Grotelueschen (Cymbeline performed by Fiasco Theater) play Kate and Petruchio. Previews begin Sunday, March 18, at 7:00pm, and opens Sunday, April 1, at 3:00pm for a run scheduled through April 21, at The Duke on 42nd Street, a NEW 42ND STREET® project, 229 West 42nd Street.

The William & Eva Fox Foundation and Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, are pleased to announce the sixth round of Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowship recipients. The program is designed to support actors' professional and artistic development, to enrich relationships between actors and nonprofit theatres and to ensure continued professional commitment to live theatre. Funded by the Fox Foundation and administered by TCG, the fellowship is one of only a few programs of its kind for actors in the country.
