Sustaining Sound Theatre Company, a new professional theater company that seeks to support local and global causes through the creation and presentation of meaningful theatrical experiences, proudly presents a benefit production of "Little Women, the Broadway Musical" with a book by Allan Knee, lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, and music by Jason Howland, from April 4 to April 21, 2013 on Thursday-Friday-Saturday at 8:00pm and Sunday at 2:00pm at Stage52LA, located at 5299 Washington Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90016.

"Little Women, the Broadway Musical"is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI), and all proceeds from this production will be sent to Forever Found, a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the rescue and restoration of victims of the domestic human trafficking industry. Based on Louisa May Alcott's own family experiences (and novel), "Little Women, the Broadway Musical" follows the adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they grow up in Civil War America with their beloved mother Marmee in Concord, Massachusetts while the family patriarch is away serving as a Union Army chaplain. The beloved story of the March sisters is timeless and deals with issues as relevant today as when the story was written. The wonderful narrative has been brought to life in the exhilarating Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning musical filled with glorious music, dancing and heart.

The cast of "Little Women, the Broadway Musical" features SNL alum Gail Matthius, Robert Towers ("Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and the voice of Snoopy in "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown"), Arnold Livingston-Geis (L.A. Opera) and Kristin Towers-Rowles (2011 Breakthrough Musical Theatre Performer of the Year), along with Emily King Brown, Cindy Bullock, Rachel Geis, Brooke Johnson, Jason Peter Kennedy, Carly Linehan, Hannah Provisor, and Andrew Wade

"This is truly an exciting endeavor to create theater of the highest caliber while giving back to those who need help and restoration. The cast and production team include some of the top professionals in the Los Angeles Theater community," states Kristin Towers-Rowles, the Co-Artistic Director of Sustaining Sound (and granddaughter of MGM star, Kathryn Grayson)

Co-Artistic Director Rebekah Hellerman continues, "There is something magical that happens when you bring together talented artists to create for a cause outside of themselves. The caliber of talent in our cast and creative team already assures a beautiful piece of art. But when you give these professionals a purpose, a cause to champion, the art they create rises to a new level of excellence.

General admission tickets are $25 and may be purchased in advance through Brown Paper Tickets (www.brownpapertickets.com/event/337140) or by calling 800-838-3006.
