On Thursday, February 13 at noon, the Arvada Center opens the children's theater production Lyle the Crocodile adapted for the stage by Kevin Kling with music by Richard Gray. The play is based on Lyle, Lyle Crocodile and The House on East 88th Street by Bernard Waber. Lyle the Crocodile will run February 13 - May 23, 2014. Performances are 10:00 a.m. and noon, most Tuesdays through Fridays, and some Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Ticket prices range from $8 weekdays and $10 weekends and holidays for reserved seating. Lyle the Crocodile will be Audio Described for the sight impaired on March 4 at 10:00 a.m. and noon and Shadow performed for the hearing impaired on March 5 and 6, at 10:00 a.m. and noon. Shadow- interpreted theater utilizes specially trained American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to perform as 'shadows' on stage alongside actors. No, this is not the latest reality series on FOX but it had about the same impact and appeal as one. No, it's Henrik Ibson's "Hedda Gabler" currently playing at Intiman as part of their Summer Theatre Festival. And while there were some interesting moments on the whole it amounted to a one-note melange of duplicity that had about as much intrigue as an episode of "Jersey Shore".

Intiman Theatre's Board of Trustees has named Keri Kellerman as managing director. Kellerman's appointment was confirmed by unanimous vote at a special session of the Board of Trustees, held last Friday.
Intiman Theatre has met its pledge goal of $1 million., and as a result the Intiman Board of Trustees has voted to reopen Intiman and move forward with production of the 2012 Intiman Theatre Festival. The vote of the Trustees enables Artistic Director, Andrew Russell, to proceed in the production of the Theatre's new festival model - a four-play summer festival season curated from a collective of local artists and performed by a repertory company of 12 local actors. All money pledged to date will go directly towards supporting the 2012 production season.

As BroadwayWorld reported back in April, Seattle's Intiman Theatre closed its doors after suffering crippling financial problems. The theatre, which had been $2.3 million in debt last year, had raised approximately $800,000 over the winter and was attempting to raise an additional $1 million by this September, in two installments. After failing to meet springtime fundraising goals, the theater shuttered, laying off its staff. Just prior, Artistic Director Kate Whorisky parted ways with the Intiman.
The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) will continue its popular series of free staged readings of new plays by the Emerging Writers Group, beginning Wednesday, June 1 and running through Tuesday, June 28 at The Public Theater.
Intiman Theatre Artistic Director Kate Whoriskey announces a production shift in the previously announced 2011 Season. A Boy and His Soul, written and performed by Tony Award-nominated Colman Domingo and directed by Tony Kelly, will replace The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
