Last night, February 15, 2010 one time Tony-eligible actor Andrew Kober of Broadway's Hair made his New York solo debut at Joe's Pub with a concert event titled Koberet. As previously seen by about 100 Ohioans in the auditorium of Shaker Heights High, this updated Koberet is an even more self-indulgent version of the phenomenon that took the Midwest by storm eight years ago. In it, Broadway's most famous hetero drag queen muses on his life so far... because no one else will.

On Monday, January 25, multi award-winning composer and lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver brings his buzzed-about concert RATED RSO: The Music & Lyrics of Ryan Scott Oliver back to Joe's Pub for two final performances at 7:30pm and 9:30pm. Helmed by director Travis Greisler, RATED RSO features an eclectic range of songs from RSO's musicals Mrs. Sharp and Darling, as well as some all-new material from his latest show 35MM, all of which will transform the intimate nightspot into a haven for sexy schoolteachers, Bostonian rent-boys, obsessive homicidal teenagers and fairy dust. This final version of RATED RSO will be the biggest yet: two concerts; ten brand-new songs; and twenty-three incredible Broadway performers.

Not exactly hippies, but inspired by the dramatic possibilities of the flower power movement, bookwriter/lyricists Gerome Ragni'>Gerome Ragni and James Rado'>James Rado devised a story where the former played Berger, a high school student and de facto leader of a tribe of Manhattan hippies, and the latter was his newly-drafted buddy Claude, who can't decide if he should join his friends in burning their draft cards and, if necessary, fleeing to Canada, or comply with his parents' wishes that he go fight in Vietnam for his country.
