The New Colony to Stage World Premiere of PLASTIC REVOLUTION in 2015

It's an airtight slice of Americana! The New Colony is pleased to launch its 2014-15 mainstage season with the world premiere musical PLASTIC REVOLUTION at its new permanent home - The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. This new musical, based on the company's 2009 hit production Tupperware: An American Musical Fable, features a book by Will Cavedo and Andrew Hobgood, lyrics by Andrew Hobgood, music by Julie Nichols, direction by Evan Linder and musical direction by Charlotte Rivard-Hoster. PLASTIC REVOLUTION will play January 16 - February 22, 2015 in The Den's Upstairs Mainstage. Tickets are available at ?www.thenewcolony.org. The press opening is Tuesday, January 20 at 7:30 pm.

The New Colony is pleased to announce its full 2014-15 main stage season at its new permanent home -- The Den Theatre's, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. Joining the previously announced world premiere musical PLASTIC REVOLUTION, The New Colony will present two additional world premieres: the musical comedy STANLEY IN THE NAME OF LOVE written and directed by Mr. Margaret Svetlove and the dark comedy THE TERRIBLE by Morgan McNaught, directed by Jesse Roth.

It's the perfect holiday gift or stocking stuffer! The Inconvenience and The New Colony's world premiere, '70s-style sitcom B-SIDE STUDIO is now available on DVD at Amazon.com ($19.99). The original four episodes, filmed in front of a live studio audience at Chicago's The Logan Center for the Arts in the fall of 2013, have been edited and remastered into eight shorter episodes.

The New Colony continues its 2013-14 season with the irreverent world premiere comedy ORVILLE AND WILBUR DID IT! by David Zellnik, directed by Co-Artistic Director Andrew Hobgood, playing now through July 20, 2014 at Signal Ensemble Theatre, 1802 W.
