BIRTHDAY PLAY Premieres Tonight at Alchemical Theatre Lab

Long-time collaborators Felicia Lobo (Insomnium Theatre Company) and Zach Donovan (Subtle Pride) have teamed up to present the world premiere of Donovan's latest play, BIRTHDAY PLAY. BIRTHDAY PLAY will be presented in a limited engagement run at The Alchemical Theatre Lab (104 W. 14th St., NYC) from August 5th through August 7th. Tickets ($10) are currently available for purchase online at birthdayplay.bpt.me.

Curio Theatre Company's THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN Opens 4/29

Curio Theatre Company concludes its 11th Season taking audiences to the remote Irish town of Inishmaan to experience Martin McDonagh's award-winning, The Cripple of Inishmaan. This TONY-Award nominated tragicomedy runs April 21-May 21. Opening night is Friday, April 29 at 8 p.m.  Curio Theatre Company's stage is at the Calvary Center for Culture and Community, 4740 Baltimore Avenue. Curio shows typically run on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 8 p.m. schedule. Tickets cost $15-$25 per person. Tickets and more information are available online at www.curiotheartre.org.

Philadelphia Young Playwrights Annual Monologue Festival Kicks Off 3/10

Philadelphia Young Playwrights once again gives 18 local high school students a chance to be heard as the 2016 Young Voices Monologue Festival winners will debut their work March 10-19 at the city's new home for new work, The Drake, 1512 Spruce Street. BWW Preview: IF ALL THE SKY WERE PAPER Celebrates Veterans Day at the Lobero

Andrew Carroll, author of 'If All the Sky Were Paper,' lost everything in a fire - most importantly, letters he'd saved from his ancestors, a family history in a series of first-person accounts. Relief came from an unlikely source: A distant cousin sent Carroll a bundle of letters that he was planning to throw away if Carroll didn't want them. Carroll accepted the gift and was inspired by the contents - letters from wartime and letters sent from combat half a world away.

The Kennedy Center presents If All the Sky Were Paper, in honor of Memorial Day, for two performances in the Terrace Theater on May 21 and 22, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. Written by Washington, D.C.-based, best-selling author Andrew Carroll and directed by John Benitz, If All the Sky Were Paper is a compelling drama about the American wartime experience, taken from actual letters penned by troops and their loved ones.
