The Second City and Gilda's Club Chicago celebrated a once in a lifetime evening at the comedy institution's iconic Mainstage theater during a star-studded benefit, I Can't Believe They Wendt There: The Roast of George Wendt. More than 230 guests dined, drank and donated while being entertained by a raucous panel of roasters and special guests that concluded with a surprise appearance by Chris Rock.

Factory will launch their new season 'Shaping Stories' with the acclaimed Nightswimming production, THE FISH EYES TRILOGY, an audacious trio of one woman dance-plays from award-winning playwright, dancer, choreographer and performer, Anita Majumdar.

In one of the comedy industry's most anticipated traditions, iconic Chicago comedy institution The Second City is proud to announce the cast of their upcoming 106th Mainstage revue, set to open in October, 2017.

As The Second City continues its concentrated efforts to bring diverse voices to the forefront of of the comedy world they are proud to present the 4th cohort of Bob Curry Fellows in their culminating showcase on Wednesday, June 7th at 8pm in the e.t.c. theater (230 W. North Ave. 2nd Floor Pipers Alley).

The Second City is pleased to announce the 2017 recipients of the 4th Annual Bob Curry Fellowship; Terrance Carey, Dan Bazaldua, Eunji Kim, Sophia Rafiqi, LeLe Mason, Rolando Lep, Rob Wilson, Adrienne Brown, Damon Royster, Evan Mills, Atra Asdou, Jayson Acevedo, Riley Mondragon, Squeek Rangel, Brian Keys and Stephanie Branco.

According to the Chicago Tribune, film star and Second City alumnus Mike Myers (Austin Powers, Shrek, Wayne's World) will play improv great Del Close in a new biopic produced by the Windy City comedy institution. Myers was, fittingly, one of Close's students.
