Center City Holiday Concert Presents Bravo Brass's RUSSIAN CHRISTMAS, 12/17

The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra presents a "Russian Christmas" with the student brass players of the BRAVO BRASS ensemble. This annual holiday concert takes place on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at The Church of the Holy Trinity located at 1904 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA. Conducted by Paul Bryan, the Director of Bravo Brass who is the Dean of Faculty and Students of the Curtis Institute of Music, Bravo Brass is the all-brass ensemble of the highly regarded Philadelphia Youth Orchestra-one of the few ensembles of its type in the country.

Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Announces New Trustee of Board

The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO) is proud to announce that Lydia Ogden, PhD, MPP has been named a new trustee of the board. Ogden, a resident of Philadelphia, PA, is a believer in the power of music and has two children who participate in Philadelphia Youth Orchestra organization, one in the advanced PYO (Philadelphia Youth Orchestra) and one in PYAO (Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra).

As the 77th season is launched for the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO), President and Music Director Louis Scaglione is pleased to announce that Philadelphia Youth Orchestra is one of the recipients of The Philadelphia CulturalFund' 2016 Youth Arts Enrichment Grant. The Youth Arts Enrichment Grant Program supports specific programming that uses the artsto enrich the lives of Philadelphia's young people both in and out of school.

Pat Catterson's NOW. Installation Event Set for NYU Tisch Later This Month

NOW. is a multimedia / performance / installation event directed and choreographed by Pat Catterson in collaboration with dance media artist Paul Galando and presented by NYU Tisch Dance and New Media Department on Saturday and Sunday, January 30 & 31, 2016 at 12 Noon. This immersive performance captures dancers in single moments in time and place performing simultaneously both in real and virtual time.

American Dance Guild's 2015 Performance Festival to Feature 35 Artists This Dec

The rich diversity of contemporary dance will be on view for four nights, Thursday, December 3 through Sunday, December 6 at this year's Annual Performance Festival of the American Dance Guild at The Ailey Citigroup Theater, Joan Weill Center for Dance. Thirty-five artists/companies will present their work, with three living legends of modern dance - Liz Lerman, founder of the Dance Exchange, Doug Varone, Artistic Director of Doug Varone Dance Company and Alice Teirstein, founder of Young Dancemakers - receiving ADG's 2015 honors and tributes.
