David Mirvish today announced three new productions to the 2017-18 lineup, a change to one show in the main series and the casting for two locally produced shows in the Off-Mirvish series.

Broadway In Chicago and producers Starvox Entertainmentand June Entertainment have announced the full cast for SHERLOCK HOLMES. JAMES MASLOW, the actor and singer perhaps best known for playing the role of James Diamond in Nickelodeon's 'Big Time Rush' and a member of the band with the same name, will star as the legendary Dr.John Watson, along with RENNE OLSTEAD, best known for her role as Lauren Miller in the TV sitcom 'Still Standing,' and as Madison Cooperstein in 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager,' as the well-to-do-American, Lady Irene St. John, opposite DAVID ARQUETTE in the title role as SHERLOCK HOLMES. The two actors will make their stage debuts in this new and original adaptation inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic tales by playwrightGreg Kramer and directed by Andrew Shaver scheduled to play Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W Randolph) November 24 - 29, 2015. Great Canadian Theatre Company is ending its 2014-2015 season with a smash hit. Today, the theatre announced its production of The Public Servant is completely sold out. Since opening night on June 4th, the Box Office has been inundated with hundreds of calls a day, quickly selling out all available tickets not held by subscribers. The show runs until June 21 and cannot be extended due to artist availability. There may be tickets returned to the Box Office and resold to people who come to the theatre thirty minutes before each performance.

Canadian Stage's Shakespeare in High Park returns this summer with a Shakespearean double bill at the High Park Amphitheatre (1873 Bloor St. W.), pairing the pastoral comedy, As You Like It, with the bard's first tragedy, Titus Andronicus. Outdoors and under the stars, the plays run on alternate nights from June 26 to Aug. 31, Tuesday to Sunday at 8 p.m. Each performance is pay-what-you can, with a suggested contribution of $20. The productions are presented by Canadian Stage in collaboration with the Department of Theatre, York University.
