Barrington Stage Company's Stage 2, Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, announced additional productions that will take place in their Pittsfield Mainstage, Stage 2 and Youth Theatre venues in 2011.

Christmas Jukebox originally played at the Copperstate Dinner Theater and was named 2009 Best Original Production of the Year by the AriZoni Awards. In this one-of-a-kind Holiday Musical, audience members who arrive at least 15 minutes before curtain, are invited to select their favorites from our giant jukebox of over 100 of the greatest holiday songs ever written. The choices are tallied and a brand-new, world-premier holiday revue, created by the audience, is brought to life before their very eyes by our talented and versatile cast. Each show is as unique and as different as the audience that created it!

Producer John Frost today revealed the full cast of the explosive new musical romance DOCTOR ZHIVAGO. Already announced are the lead cast members-? ANTHONY WARLOW as the ardent young Doctor Yurii Zhivago; LUCY MAUNDER as the alluring Lara; TANEEL VAN ZYL in the role of his wife Tonia; MARTIN CREWES as political radical Pasha Antipov; BARTHOLOMEW JOHN as corrupt attorney Viktor; and PETER CARROLL and TRISHA NOBLE in the roles of Alexander and Anna, Tonia's parents. The ensemble supporting cast includes a brilliant and talented mix of experienced and new performers.

The concert, which will feature songs from the upcoming musical with a full band, will also play an additional performance tomorrow, September 14 at 11:30pm. Fresh off her stint in Hair, Annaleigh Ashford will lead the previously announced Heathers: The Musical concert at Joe's Pub alongside Jeremy Jordan on September 13, 2010. Ashford will protray Veronica Sawyer (played by Winona Ryder on screen), while Jeremy Jordan will play Jason Dean (played by Christian Slater in the film). The New South Wales Minister for Tourism, Jodi McKay, announced today that in 2011, Sydney (Australia) will host the World Premiere of a new musical, DOCTOR ZHIVAGO starring Anthony Warlow. One of the most breathtaking love stories ever told, this exciting new production will be directed by Broadway's Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys, Tommy), with music composed by Lucy Simon (The Secret Garden), lyrics by Michael Korie and Amy Powers and book by Michael Weller. Produced by John Frost and Anita Waxman, DOCTOR ZHIVAGO will play an exclusive eight week engagement at the Lyric Theatre, Star City from February 11, 2011, before an Australian tour.
Production has begun on 'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure,' a Disney Channel Original Movie directed by Emmy Award-winning director Michael Lembeck ('Tooth Fairy,' 'Santa Clause 2' and 'Santa Clause 3.'). Ashley Tisdale stars as the scene-stealing drama queen Sharpay Evans in the role she made so popular in the 'High School Musical' TV movies and feature film. 'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure' is scheduled to premiere in 2011 on Disney Channel.
Deadline.com has reported that Disney is beginning production on 'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure,' a spin-off from the popular 'High School Musical.' According to the report, the film deals with Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale), who attempts to make it on Broadway; however, her dog gets a job before she does.
The Copperstate Dinner Theater and Arizona Broadway Theater's production of Country Jukebox will close on March 14th.
