GLAAD recognizes both the meteoric expansion of LGBTQ representation in music and the influence LGBTQ artists have had on the music industry at-large over the last several years. As such, GLAAD's presence on the Grammys red carpet, co-hosted by Gigi Gorgeous Getty and GLAAD's Anthony Allen Ramos.

Trevor: The Musical opened last night at Stage 42 (422 West 42nd Street, near 9th Avenue). The 19-member company of Trevor: The Musical includes Holden William Hagelberger as Trevor, Mark Aguirre, Aaron Alcaraz, Ava Briglia, and more.

Stars in The House, benefiting The Actors Fund, continued Thursday night (8pm) with a White Collar Cast reunion (Sharif Atkins, Matt Bomer, Hilarie Burton, Tim DeKay, Willie Garson, Tiffani Thiessen and Marsha Thomason as a benefit for The Trevor Project).

 The Trevor Project, the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people, today announced Cybill Shepherd as the 2019 recipient of the “Champion Award,” which recognizes the outstanding support of an ally and their commitment to supporting The Trevor Project's mission. The PwC Charitable Foundation, Inc. will be the recipient of the “20/20 Visionary Award,” presented to corporations supporting LGBTQ inclusion around the world. Both will be honored at the TrevorLIVE LA fundraising gala, Nov. 17, at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

Today, The Trevor Project announced that GRAMMY-Award winning multi-platinum singer/songwriter Daya and the cast of the Broadway musical, The Prom, will perform at the organization's TrevorLIVE New York gala in New York City on Monday, June 17 at Cipriani Wall Street. The organization also announced that Queer Eye's Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness will present Cara Delevingne with the 2019 Hero Award, and actor Jonathan Tucker will present Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos with the Champions Award.

Today, The Trevor Project announced that talk show host, actress and producer Kelly Ripa and actor and producer Mark Consuelos will jointly be honored at the organization's TrevorLIVE New York gala with the Champions Award for their continued allyship and commitment to supporting The Trevor Project's mission to end suicide among LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning) young people. The organization will also honor EY with the 20/20 Visionary Award for the company's work supporting LGBTQ inclusion around the world and creating a sense of belonging for all EY professionals. In addition, actress, comedian and writer Nicole Byer and actor, director and digital producer Eugene Lee Yang will co-host TrevorLIVE New York, the organization's annual star-studded signature fundraiser, on Monday, June 17 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. As previously announced, actress, musician, and style icon Cara Delevingne will be honored with the 2019 Hero Award.

VidCon, the world's largest celebration of online video and digital creators, today announced a new partnership with The Trevor Project, the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ young people. The partnership will further highlight and celebrate some of the world's biggest digital talent and rising stars from the LGBTQ+ community during the tenth anniversary of VidCon US set for July 10-13, 2019 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Grammy Award nominated, multi-platinum R&B/Pop recording artist and actress Deborah Cox and award-winning singer, songwriter, and activist Lauren Jauregui are set to perform at The Trevor Project's TrevorLIVE Los Angeles on Dec. 2 at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.The event's star-studded red carpet and full awards show will be streamed live on The Trevor Project's Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, powered by the first queer global streaming network Revry and hosted by Shira Lazar and Ryan Mitchell from 'Let's Go There' on Channel Q Radio. The gala will launch the two-year partnership, which names Revry as the exclusive live streaming partner and the Official Streaming Network of TrevorLIVE LA and NY. It was previously announced that Ryan Murphy, the cast of “POSE,” Amandla Stenberg, and AT&T will be honored. Eugene Lee Yang will serve as host. Attendees includeJussie Smollett, with special guest appearances from “Superstore” actors Nico Santos and Lauren Ash.

A Newer World, an original musical based on the Harvard Scandal of 1920, with a book by Grammy Award nominee Jonathan Sheffer, and score by Sheffer and acclaimed producer and songwriter Bruce Roberts [Barbra Streisand/Donna Summer duet 'No More Tears (Enough is Enough)'], will have an invitation-only reading on Thursday, December 6 at Pearl Studios, 500 8th Avenue. With direction by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Pretty Woman), the reading will feature musical direction by Will Van Dyke (Pretty Woman).

Last night, The Trevor Project hosted its 2017 TrevorLIVE Los Angeles gala at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., where it honored fashion designer, award-winning screenwriter, producer, and film director Tom Ford with the Hero Award, and Tony Award winning actress, singer and author Kristin Chenoweth with the Icon Award. The evening kicked off with special opening remarks from Lisa Kudrow and Kristin Davis, and featured performances by Grammy-nominated band Garbage, Broadway legend Shoshana Bean, and Neon Trees. Grammy-nominated alternative rock band Garbage and Broadway star Shoshana Bean are set to perform at The Trevor Project's TrevorLIVE gala on Dec. 3 at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Neon Trees will perform a full concert at the official after-party.

The Trevor Project and National Center for Transgender Equality today sent a request under the Freedom of Information Act to the U.S. Department of Education to shine a light on its legal responsibility to protect the civil rights of transgender and other LGBTQ youth in schools across our nation.
