The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus, announces the principal casting for the world premiere of Waitress. Based on the motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly the new musical has a book by Jessie Nelson, music and lyrics by Sara Bareiles, direction by Diane Paulus, and choreography by Chase Brock.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced its 2015-2016 Atlantic for Kids season including the world premiere musicals The Velveteen Rabbit and The Pirate La Dee Da.

Tennessee Shakespeare Company, in partnership with the University of Memphis' Department of Theatre & Dance, presents its second developing musical reading on the U of M mainstage with Midsummer Night by Valerie Vigoda and Brendan Milburn on June 27 at 7:00 pm.

Atlantic Theater Company presents revivals of Ghost Stories: The Shawl and Prairie du Chien, two haunting short plays by Atlantic co-founder and Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet. Ghost Stories: The Shawl and Prairie du Chien began previews on May 27 and officially open tonight, June 16, for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 28 Off Broadway at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16th Street).

Continuing its commitment to developing new works, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will gather playwrights and composers from across the nation for its 2015 New Works Festival at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre, where the public can attend performances, offer feedback, and participate in a panel discussion with the artists. 

On Wednesday June 10, 2015, Grammy nominated artist Sara Bareilles took to Google Hangout to chat about her upcoming Broadway musical WAITRESS, which is scheduled to begin preview performances at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T) on August 2, 2015 with opening night scheduled for August 20, 2015.

New Repertory Theatre presents the final show of the 30th Anniversary Season, the Next Rep World Premiere: SCENES FROM AN ADULTERY by Ronan Noone, tonight, June 6 through June 21, 2015 at the Boston University Theatre, Lane-Comley Studio 210. SCENES FROM AN ADULTERY is co-presented with Boston Center for American Performance (BCAP).

TOGETHER WE ARE MAKING A POEM IN HONOR OF LIFE, written by Dean Poynor, will receive its world premiere this summer in a stirring environmental production staged in the cafeteria of a New York City public school. The show will run for 15 performances starting tonight, June 4th. Mikhael Tara Garver (Artistic Director of the Woodshed Collective) directs the production, which runs now through June 28th.

St. Ann's Warehouse, which for 36 years has enlivened New Yorkers with new works by the world's most vital music- and theater-makers, is about to open its first permanent home, a 25,000-sf theater at the breathtaking site of the Tobacco Warehouse, on the waterfront in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The organization will inaugurate its new building by presenting a 2015-16 season that epitomizes St. Ann's indispensable contribution to the global cultural landscape -- a series of international productions in which world-class artists reconfigure flexible, open space to realize their creative visions.
