The American Theatre Wing and the Village Voice are thrilled to announce that James Houghton, the Founding Artistic Director of Signature Theatre, will receive a special OBIE Award for Sustained Achievement at the 60th Annual OBIE Awards, which will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street).

Luna Stage has announced its 2015 - 2016 season. The renowned company's 23rd season includes the East Coast Premiere of The Tall Girls by Meg Miroshnik,  the New Jersey Professional Premiere of Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story, a musical by Stephen Dolginoff, a revival of the critically acclaimed play, The Brothers Size by Tarell Alvin McCraney, and the World Premiere of Old Love New Love by Laura Brienza.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre concludes its 50th anniversary season with a developmental production of Stillwater, a new rock musical staged by the Rep's Artistic Director Eric Rosen. Stillwater is an angst-filled love letter to a generation rebounding from the economic and cultural shocks of the last ten years.

The Abingdon Theatre Company will present a reading of Charles Messina's play A ROOM OF MY OWN, starring Mario Cantone on April 21, 2015. The comedy is based on Messina's life growing up in Greenwich Village in the late 1970s.

Florida Studio Theatre announces its annual Richard and Betty Burdick New Play Reading Series, which will present three new staged readings by contemporary American playwrights. The series will take place in the Keating Theatre on Saturday, April 25 at 2:00pm, Saturday, May 2 at 2:00pm, and Saturday, May 9 at 2:00pm, and is part of FST's Sarasota Festival of New Plays. Geva Theatre Center presents The Mountaintop - a soul-stirring reimagining of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s last night on earth by playwright Katori Hall, directed by Skip Greer. The Mountaintop begins performances tonight, March 31, opens April 4 (the anniversary of Dr. King's assassination), and runs in the Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage through April 26.
