National Sawdust Hosts The Future Is… Festival and Creative Forum

Both before and throughout the pandemic, National Sawdust’s mission has been to provide artists with financial and creative opportunities, audiences with access to groundbreaking work presented in remarkably high fidelity, and to support young creators by means of a rigorous mentorship network. These three goals serve as the inspirations for The Future Is… Festival, which takes place June 7 through June 16, features work by 6 composers and choreographers developing new work through residencies co-produced with the Center for Ballet and the Arts at NYU, and funded by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation.

American Ballet Theatre Incubator to Stage New Works

American Ballet Theatre’s in-house choreographic  program, ABT Incubator, is scheduled for April 11-22, 2022, with new works to be created on  ABT dancers by four choreographers. The workshop was announced today by ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. 

Julianne and George Argyros Plaza to Host April and May Events

Spring is here and so are our upcoming events on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza. Since opening in October 2017, Segerstrom Center has welcomed over 100,000 visitors to Argyros Plaza and hosted over 360 free and low-cost events. This Spring will feature a variety of fun and familiar favorites, and brand new events including Tuesday Night Dance: K-pop (April 5, 12, 19 & 26), Garden Party on the Plaza (April 23), Tuesday Night Dance: Bollywood (May 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31), and Plaza Prom (May 28).
