Jackson, Graff and Gasteyer Join 'Damn Yankees Cast

Cheyenne Jackson, Randy Graff and Ana Gasteyer will join previously announced cast members Sean Hayes and Jane Krakowski in DAMN YANKEES running July 5 - 27, 2008 at New York City Center (55th Street between 6th & 7th Avenues). Damn Yankees will be directed by John Rando with Music Direction by Rob Berman and the original Bob Fosse choreography recreated by Mary MacLeod. A July 10 opening is planned.

Music Center of LA Announces Dance At Music Center Series

The Music Center of Los Angeles County announces the sixth season of the Dance at the Music Center series. The season opens with the return of Miami City Ballet led by Artistic Director Edward Villella, performing the much anticipated, West Coast premiere of NIGHTSPOT a Twyla Tharp and Elvis Costello collaboration, October 24-26. Known for her innovation and creativity, Twyla Tharp has created some of the most memorable dances in modern repertory.

Bernadette Peters & Ballet Stars Join "Prelude to a Dance" Gala

Two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters and American Ballet Theatre principal dancers Julie Kent and Marcelo Gomes will join the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company as guest artists at 'Prelude to a Dance,' a gala performance on Wednesday, April 23.

Media City Ballet Announces Season

Media City Ballet (MCB), Natasha Middleton, Artistic Director, will open the company's Seventh Annual Season with a program entitled 'Ballet Russe Remembered,' to be presented at the Alex Theatre, 216 N. Brand Boulevard, Glendale, CA on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. The All-Russian program will feature Principal Dancers from Media City Ballet. The Maple Youth Ballet, Charles Maple, Director, as will appear as a Guest Ballet Company.

Jerome Robbins Exhibit Opens Today, 3/25 at NYPL!

Among the most celebrated choreographers of his time, Jerome Robbins belonged to New York. His work showcased the grit and the glory of the city through populist masterpieces such as West Side Story and On the Town, and moved fluidly between ballet and Broadway with technical artistry and vernacular energy. The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts presents the first major retrospective of the man and the city he loved: New York Story: Jerome Robbins and His World, which explores Robbins' work and the many overlapping New York worlds that met in it. The exhibition draws from the library's collections of Robbins' personal archives, and the vast majority of the materials on display have never been seen by the public.

Our Lady J Returns to The Zipper on 4/7 and 4/18

Our Lady J returns to The Zipper Factory (336 West 37th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues) for two new concerts of all-original music in celebration of the release of her new EP 'Our Lady J: Live From The Zipper Factory,' which was recorded last October. Along with favorites including 'Picture of a Man' and 'Pink Prada Purse,' Our Lady J will continue to bring gospel music into the 21st century by debuting a score of fresh tunes with The Pink Champagne Orchestra and The Train To Kill Gospel Choir. Shows are Monday, April 7 and Friday, April 18 at 9:30 p.m.
