Last week in front of a packed Birmingham Town Hall, Dudson Limited and The Regent Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent won the Jaguar Land Rover Arts and Business Sustained Partnership Award, in association with Rolls-Royce plc. The award is awarded to an established, on-going partnership that continues to set standards in creative arts-business collaborations.

Head of the Ambassador Theatre Group, Harold Panter told reporters at the Guardian today that he plans to bring the wildly successful Lincoln Centre production of Roger & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC to the West End.

Actor Mark Rylance, who will be in the upcoming revival of David Hirson's La Bête at the Comedy Theatre, visited the theatre's current exhibition, 'Recycled Comedy.' The play, which will begin previews at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on November 2, will open officially on November 21. The production will also star Denis O'Hare, Jennifer Coolidge, and Richard Easton and will be directed by Dough Hughes and produced by Howard Panter.

Beginning August 13, Artists Repertory Theatre and Sydney Theatre Company will bring a world-class production of EuGene O'Neill's gut-wrenching autobiographical play Long Day's Journey Into Night to Portland. So close to his own life, Long Day's Journey Into Night is a story O'Neill did not want shared until 25 years after his death.

As previously reported and confirmed today by Whatsonstage.com, West End's 'Elle Woods' and 'Paulette,' Sheridan Smith and Jill Halfpenny, respectively, will be departing LEGALLY BLONDE on October 23, 2010. It has been rumored that Jennifer Ellison was in talks to take over the role of Elle, in addition to Broadway's original Elle Woods, Laura Bell Bundy.

The original London live cast recording of Legally Blonde The Musical starring Sheridan Smith, Duncan James, Jill Halfpenny, Peter Davison and Alex Gaumond and coordinated for First Night Records by John Craig, will be released on 16 August 2010.
