Since the theatre first opened its doors in 1996, The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre has become known for bringing both classic musicals, as well as area and regional premieres  to the stage. 

We viewed Static, presented by Golden Lights.  The compelling two-hander features the talents of Daniel Amedee and Conor Kelly O’Brien.  The two performers also created the show.  It is directed by Michael Pillot. It is part of the festival presented by 59E59 Theaters to celebrate East to Edinburgh with a variety of streaming shows.

Directed by Jeff Award nominee David Perkovich with a musical score by award-winning Chicago composer Gregg Opelka, THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES, THE MUSICAL, was written by David Rogers and Amanda Rogers, and follows the nouveau-riche Clampett family as they move to the privileged society of Beverly Hills after discovering an oil reserve on their land. From Jed Clampett to Granny, Elly May and Jethro all the favorites from the '60s TV comedy are back and shaking things up as they adjust to their new, fast-paced life while maintaining their hayseed ways.

Local band 'Folkstrings' will be playing live at Redhouse Arts Center this Sunday, March 30th at 2pm. Tickets are $10 and will go to benefit the Redhouse Arts Center.

David Rogers, Broadway playwright who also wrote for television, opera and night clubs, and authored novels and short stories, died on Wednesday, June 5th in Westport, Conn. He was 85.

Actor Neil Patrick Harris will make his theatrical directorial debut helming the private premiere staged reading of an original comedic script, I Am Grock, written by Amanda Rogers, on July 17 at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood...
