Washington National Opera (WNO) opens its 2016-2017 season with a new-to-Washington staging of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's masterpiece of romantic comedy-The Marriage of Figaro, September 22-October 2, 2016, in the Kennedy Center Opera House. One of opera's most enduring and beloved classics, The Marriage of Figaro tells an upstairs/downstairs story of love, lust, seduction, infidelity, and ultimately, forgiveness, all set to some of the most sublime and memorable music ever written.

Everyman Launches Dinner and Conversation Series, ReWINEd

Just in time for Hispanic Heritage Month, Ballet Hispanico introduces new adult class offerings in Salsa and Flamenco at the company's School of Dance at 167 W. 89th Street, NYC. The classes are recommended for ages 18 and up and will get attendees up and moving to the beat in no time. What if the lucky country's luck ran out? Australia has not in the past fifteen years that terrorism has been a key issue all around the globe experienced an act of terror on home soil. We have lost many in overseas massacres, but Australia has been a haven from bombs, shootings and kidnappings during the modern wave of terrorism, which makes it only a matter of time essentially before the events of A Nest of Skunks are likely to unfold. Adapted from Roger Vickery's short story about two Australians who have escaped a detention centre, thrust upon the mercy of a covert network of safe houses, it has translated very strongly on stage with the subtle nuance of Travis Green's direction.
