The Lifeline Storytelling Project (LSP) produces monthly live music & storytelling events designed to develop and showcase young artists affiliated with Lifeline Theatre. Since its creation in 2011 by Lifeline Theatre Artistic DirectorDorothy Milne, LSP has sought to play an active part in the growth of the Chicago storytelling and Live Lit scene. LSP members participate in ongoing writing workshops, share their true stories in Rogers Park venues for an ever-growing audience of fans and friends, and take part in the annual Fillet of Solo Festival (hosted by Lifeline Theatre since 2010). To accommodate extraordinary ticket demand, Lifeline Theatre will add four additional performances to the run of its family musical, The Emperor's New Threads: A Fashion Statement, based on the folktale The Emperor's New Clothes by Hans Christian Andersen.
