Songbook Sundays, created and hosted by Deborah Grace Winer celebrating the American Songbook will continue at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Dizzy's with ANYTHING GOES! COLE PORTER AND MORE COLE PORTER Sunday, July 17th at 5 PM and 7:30 PM at Dizzy's Club. 

Deborah Grace Winer returns to Dizzy's Club with the second in her new series of music programs dedicated to the composing giants of Broadway and The Great American Songbook, and she's got Christine Andreas and Cole Porter with her.

Ain't Misbehavin': The Fats Waller Musical Show is now playing at Barrington Stage Company's Boyd-Quinson Stage. Performances run June 16-July 9. Check out all new production footage in the video here!

To be clear, there is absolutely nothing about this production that is dull, dated, or dusty. The joint is most certainly jumpin’ for an evening full of rowdy, raunchy and humorous songs that capture the love longing and zest for life in the 1920’s/’30s.

Barrington Stage Company has announced casting for the first two shows of its 2022 season: the 1978 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Ain’t Misbehavin’: The Fats Waller Musical Show, and the world premiere play, Andy Warhol in Iran by Brent Askari (BSC’s American Underground) which opens the St. Germain Stage from June 2-25.

Fan-favorite guest conductor Byron Stripling returns to the POPS with a 's marvelous star-studded array of guest vocalists and musicians, celebrating beloved American music legend George Gershwin in 'S Wonderful 'S Gershwin, May 13–15 at the Kimmel Cultural Campus.

The American Traditions Collection (ATC) a nonprofit who celebrates, preserves and teaches all styles of classic American music: Broadway, Opera, Jazz, Gospel, Country and even Spirituals, is holding its week long national vocal competition, the American Traditions Vocal Competition during the week of February 21-25, 2022.

The first ever Tony Award winner for Best Musical, based on the book by Sam and Bella Spewack with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, is to be directed by Johanna McKenzie Miller. In a twist of fate, Miller will make her mainstage directorial debut at the Marriott Theatre roughly 20 years after making her acting debut under the very same spotlight. Musical direction for this production is led by Jeff Award winner Ryan T. Nelson with choreography by Jeff Award nominee Alex Sanchez.

The Philly POPS announced today that tickets for the 2021–2022 Lights Up! Showtime! season are on sale now. The POPS will celebrate this new season will a free public performance, Dancin' in Dilworth with The Philly POPS little BIG Band, on August 4, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at Dilworth Park.

Barrington Stage Company has announced extensions for the first four productions of the theatre's 2021 season: Who Could Ask for Anything More? The Songs of George Gershwin, Chester Bailey, Eleanor and Boca.

BSC Artistic Director, Julianne Boyd, who directs this production, said that WHO COULD ASK FOR ANYTHING MORE? Is a tribute to Gershwin’s indominable spirit and love-for-life.  It is also a joyous and triumphant return of live theatre to the Berkshires following the bleakness of the pandemic.
