The Flea Presents Horizon Theater's BENITO CERENO, Previews 9/22

The Flea Theater presents Horizon Theatre Rep's production of the rarely-seen play BENITO CERENO - written by the late Robert Lowell and based on the Herman Melville novel of the same name -- Off-Broadway at the Flea Theatre (41 White St.) in Manhattan, with previews set to start September 22 prior to an official press opening on September 25.

BRING IT ON to Make Canadian Premiere At Canon Theatre

David Mirvish will present an explosive new musical comedy in Toronto this spring. Bring It On: The Musical will play for a strictly limited engagement, May 2 - June 3, 2012 at the Canon Theatre.

COME FLY AWAY Heads to the Ordway Beginning 10/11

The buzzworthy national tour of the Broadway musical 'Come Fly Away,' conceived, choreographed and directed by Tony Award-winner Twyla Tharp and by special arrangement with the Frank Sinatra Family and Frank Sinatra Enterprises, will be presented at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts from October 11-16.

Rebecca Creskoff, Brock Harris Lead LCT3's ALL AMERICAN

Rebecca Creskoff, Meredith Forlenza, Brock Harris, Sarah Steele, C.J. Wilson and Harry Zittel will be featured in the LCT3 world premiere production of ALL-AMERICAN, a new play by Julia Brownell, directed by Evan Cabnet.

Nashville Children's Theatre to Host Touring Production of KNUFFLE BUNNY 10/17

Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical tells the story of toddler Trixie who has a beloved stuffed bunny, which she misplaces while on a trip to the laundromat with her slightly disheveled dad. Luckily, she finds the stuffed animal and speaks her first words: 'Knuffle Bunny!' The production is a story about family, best friends, baby steps and memories that last a lifetime.

Rubicon Theatre Concludes 2010-2011 Season with STEEL MAGNOLIAS 9/18

Rubicon Theatre Company concludes its 2010-2011 Season with the premiere of ROBERT HARLING'S STEEL MAGNOLIAS, the much-loved play that explores the bonds of friendship and community, and the power of laughter to ease the burdens of troubled times.

Direct from the original Broadway cast of COME FLY AWAY and the Las Vegas production of Sinatra Dance With Me are principal dancers Matthew Stockwell Dibble, Cody Green, Laurie Kanyok, Marielys Molina, John Selya and Ron Todorowski- also starring in the tour as principals are Ashley Blair Fitzgerald, Martin Harvey, Ramona Kelley and Christopher Vo. OUTRE THEATRE COMPANY Debuts In South Florida

Outré Theatre Company - unconventional, outrageous and out-of-the -ordinary -debuts in South Florida, October 2011. At age 21, Managing Director Nori Tecosky is, the youngest managing director in Florida, and she and Artistic Director Skye Whitcomb say the theatre will offer thought provoking topics that are designed to encourage activism. Their mutual goals are to better the community through art, by taking their audience on a journey with the characters, hope to inspire passion and creativity in all aspects of their audience's lives.

Artists Rep Presents No Man’s Land 10/4-11/6

Starting October 3, this production of No Man's Land is, surprisingly, not only a Portland premiere, but also the first play by Harold Pinter that Artists Repertory Theatre has ever produced.

East West Players’ 46th Season Launches With A WIDOW OF NO IMPORTANCE

East West Players (EWP), the nation's largest producing organization of Asian American artistic work and the longest-running professional theatre of color in the country, opens its 46th Anniversary season, themed Languages of Love, with the world premiere comedy A WIDOW OF NO IMPORTANCE by Shane Sakhrani.

Chicago Dramatists and About Face Theatre are proud to co-produce the world premiere of THE KID THING by Chicago Dramatists Resident Playwright and About Face Theatre Artistic Associate Sarah Gubbins. Directed by Joanie Schultz, THE KID THING will preview September 1st, open September 9th and 10th and run through October 16th at Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Ave. Recently, the Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has named THE KID THING as one of 19 theatre recipients of the second round of The Edgerton Foundation New American Play Awards for 2011. The prestigious grant will fund the extension of the development and rehearsal period of the new play.
