STAGE TUBE: New BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL Promo Released!

Center Theatre Group begins its 2011-2012 season at the Ahmanson Theatre on a high-octane energy note with the West Coast premiere of 'Bring It On: The Musical,' an original musical comedy presented October 30 through December 10, 2011. (Opening is set for November 11.) A celebration kicking off the national tour of 'Bring It On: The Musical' featuring performances by the cast, routines by local cheer and dance squads, dance/cheer lessons, audience competitions, a live DJ, local TV and radio personalities, ticket giveaways and a traveling pep rally down CityWalk, and Tony winner and musical creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, on October 22.

Zoetic Stage and The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County proudly present the world premiere of Christopher Demos-Brown's CAPTIVA, a funny dark comedy about weathering family, November 3 - 20, 2011, in the intimate Carnival Studio Theater (Ziff Ballet Opera House). Alliance Theatre Lab Announces LOBBY HERO For 2012 Season

The Alliance Theatre Lab is proud to close its 2011 Season with Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed Lobby Hero. This Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Play nominee tells the story of Jeff, a luckless young security guard trying to get his life together after being thrown out of the navy. But the lobby proves to be no sanctuary from the world as Jeff is drawn into a local murder investigation involving his supervisor, a tightly wound young man called upon to bear witness against his troubled brother, and an overzealous rookie policewoman who is in over her head when her unscrupulous hero-cop partner catches his eye.

Kenny Leon to Direct STEEL MAGNOLIAS Remake Featuring All-Black Cast

According to Deadline.com, a remake of the 1989 movie 'Steel Magnolias' which was based on the 1987 play, is currently in the works. Lifetime is currently working with Broadway director Kenny Leon and producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron to recreate the classic film with an all-black cast.

COME FLY AWAY Heads to the Ordway Beginning 10/11

The buzzworthy national tour of the Broadway musical 'Come Fly Away,' conceived, choreographed and directed by Tony Award-winner Twyla Tharp and by special arrangement with the Frank Sinatra Family and Frank Sinatra Enterprises, will be presented at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts from October 11-16.
