Philadelphia Theatre Presents VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE, Now thru 4/20

Master of Absurd Comedy Christopher Durang blends the characters and themes from Anton Chekhov's dramas in the hilarious Tony Award-winner Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike running today, March 21 - April 20 at Philadelphia Theatre Company's Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Directed by James J. Christy, the ensemble features Grace Gonglewski, Deirdre Madigan, Kianne Muschett , Clare O'Malley, Alex Shaw, and Kraig Swartz.

Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome! Meet the Full Cast of Roundabout's CABARET, Beginning Tomorrow on Broadway!

Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Joe Masteroff, John Kander and Fred Ebb's Tony winning musical Cabaret, starring Tony Award-winner Alan Cumming and Golden Globe-winner Michelle Williams, begins previews tomorrow, Friday March 21. Cabaret officially opens on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street). This is a 24-week limited engagement. Falcon Theatre to Present West Coast Premiere of THE LAST ACT OF LILKA KADISON, 3/29

The Falcon Theatre, Abbie Phillips and Jan Kallish in association with the Lookingglass Theatre Company are thrilled to announce a very special event to benefit Lookingglass Theatre Company. On Saturday, March 29 at 4 pm, a performance of the West Coast Premiere of THE LAST ACT OF LILKA KADISON, written by Nicola Behrman, David Kersnar, Abbie Phillips, Heidi Stillman and Andrew White and directed by Dan Bonnell, followed by a post-show Q & A with members of the creative team, and a private dinner following. This is the first association between the Falcon Theatre and Lookingglass Theatre Company of Chicago, 2011 recipient of the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre.

WRENS to Run 3/27-4/13 at Clarence Brown Theatre's Lab Theatre

Anne V. McGravie's semi-autobiographical story about Navy servicewomen during World War II will play in the Clarence Brown Theatre's Lab Theatre March 27-April 13, 2014. The corporate sponsor for this production is Stowers Machinery. Due to popularity, seating is extremely limited. A first-come-first served waiting list will begin forty-five minutes prior to curtain for sold out performances. Should seating become available through ticket donations, release of house seats, or other means, these seats will be released to patrons based on the order of the waiting list.

Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman's 'Harmony,' a new musical, opened last night, Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 8 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre and plays through April 13 (Previews began March 4). Directed by Tony Speciale, with music by Manilow and book and lyrics by Sussman, 'Harmony' tells the true story of The Comedian Harmonists, an ensemble of six young men in pre-WWII Germany who rose from unemployed street musicians to become world-famous entertainers, selling millions of records, starring in over a dozen films, and selling out the most prestigious concert halls around the world. Yet while The Comedian Harmonists' sophisticated music, paired with hilarious comedy, made them the brightest of stars, the group's mixture of Jews and non-Jews put them on a collision course with history. MTC Playwrights Lauren Gunderson and Martin Zimmerman Are 2014 Harold and Mimi Steinberg Award Finalists

Marin Theatre Company's artistic director Jasson Minadakis has announced that Lauren Gunderson's I and You, which premiered at Marin Theatre Company in October with support from the National New Play Network's Continued Life of New Plays Fund, and Martín Zimmerman's Seven Spots on the Sun, which won MTC's 2012 Sky Cooper New American Play Prize and received a public staged reading at MTC in June 2013, have been selected as finalists for the 2014 Harold and Mimi Steinberg/American Theatre Critics Association New Play Award.

Previews begin tomorrow night, Saturday, March 8, for the return to Broadway of Tony Award-winner and two-time Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington, starring as Walter Lee Younger in Lorraine Hansberry's A RAISIN IN THE SUN. Basketball and Theatre Collide in Alliance Theatre's World Premiere of THE TALL GIRLS, Now thru 3/30

Rehearsals started today for the Alliance Theatre's world premiere of THE TALL GIRLS, a play set in the depression-era Midwest where the success of a girls' basketball team may be the only way to a better life for the team's members. Playwright Meg Miroshnik, winner of the 2012 Alliance/Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition for her play The Fairytale Lives of Russian Girls, has been described by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as 'a ferocious talent with a promising career in store.'

Flutist Jeffrey Khaner Makes ASO Debut Tonight

Jeffrey Khaner, the Principal Flutist of the Philadelphia Orchestra, will make his Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) debut performing Jonathan Leshnoff's Flute Concerto with Music Director Robert Spano and the Orchestra tonight, March 6, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center. Mr. Khaner and Mr. Spano gave the world premiere of this work together in 2011 in Philadelphia.

All the Way, the new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, starring BREAKING BAD's Bryan Cranston, is currently in previews on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre.
