Principal Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles will lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) in an all-Brahms concert weekend April 4-6, 2014, in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

On Friday, April 4, 2014, Mr. Runnicles will lead the ASO in an abbreviated version of the subscription weekend's performances as part of the Orchestra's "First Friday" concert series. The program will solely feature Brahms's Symphony No. 4.

This concert is the fourth of five "First Friday" classical concerts to be held in Atlanta Symphony Hall this season. These concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. and last approximately one hour without intermission. All tickets are $25, and additional details are available at aso.org.

Patrons are encouraged to arrive at the Woodruff Arts Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. for drink specials and light fare in soundstage - the Arts Center's new "pop-up" nightlife scene. Soundstage is open on the first Friday of every month and allows guests to enjoy food, drinks, and good company in a relaxed environment. In addition, guests can take pleasure in live music, improv comedy, and spoken word performances created by the artists of the Atlanta Symphony, Alliance Theatre, and more.

At the concerts on April 5 and 6, 2014, Mr. Runnicles and the Orchestra will be joined by mezzo-soprano Kelley O'Connor and the ASO Chorus for an all-Brahms program that will include Gesang der Parzen, Schicksalslied, Alto Rhapsody, and the dramatic Fourth Symphony.

Tickets are $24-$75, and additional details are available at aso.org/allbrahms.
