Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced final casting for the upcoming World Premiere production of Five Presidents. Broadway and television veterans Mark Jacoby, Martin L'Herault, Steve Sheridan, Jeff Steitzer, and Brit Whittle, along with Rep Associate Artist Reese Madigan, make up the cast of Five Presidents from Emmy Award-winning writer Rick Cleveland (The West Wing, House of Cards, Mad Men, and Six Feet Under).
The Alliance Theatre is pleased to announce the three artistic projects chosen for development during its second annual Reiser Atlanta Artists Lab. Each project will receive $10,000 to use toward further exploration and development, as well as access to the Alliance's artistic, educational and production staffs, and rehearsal spaces. The lab productions will be presented in free performances in the Spring of 2016.

The Alliance Theatre has partnered with Broadway Dreams Foundation and ArtsBridge Foundation, two premier arts education programs, in celebration of Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw (Aladdin, The Book of Mormon) and his outstanding contribution to the American Musical Theatre. The celebration featured a musical journey through Nicholaw's career, including a sneak peek of Tuck Everlasting, a world premiere new musical now in performances at the Alliance Theatre. ?Continuing its 35th Anniversary season and as part of its annual February Festival of plays, the Gainesville Theatre Alliance is producing its very first Ancient Greek drama for the MainStage, Sophocles' Antigone. The original heroine's fight to preserve her family's honor opens Feb. 13th at University of North Georgia's Ed Cabell Theatre (3820 Mundy Mill Road, Oakwood).

Based on his best-selling novel, the show features critically acclaimed, Emmy nominated and award-winning storyteller James Lecesne, who portrays the life and characters of a Jersey Shore town where a young boy goes missing. The play is directed by Tony Speciale, with visuals by Matthew Sandager and incidental music by Duncan Sheik, some of which will be released in his new record "Legerdemain" in April 2015.
